I help with feeding some feral cats. They seem to enjoy this food. Granted, not all of them like it. The pieces are a bit big for some cats. I accidentally bought two 26 pound bags. One was in my cart and I didn’t realize I was looking again at the same thing and put another one in my cart. The feral will be happy for the most part. I’m storing the extra in a heave duty container.
They've gobbled up the Surfin' Turfin, for years. I opened a new 22 pound bag and they sniff it and walk away. A dish that had to be filled 3 or more times a day stays half full the whole day. I have 9 cats and they all have the same opinion.
My cats eat wet food for breakfast and dinner but I leave 2 kinds of dry food out for them to eat the rest of the day. I have to fill up the seafood bowl every morning and the other has barely been touched! This goes for all 3 of them!
None of my stray cats like this flavor but if you are looking to welcome and feed the entire bird population in your neighborhood then this food is perfect! I will try to fish flavor to see how that works out.
Well my cats really don’t like this cat food. They prefer the 9 lives that they are so used to getting but you were out so I got this kind. Not liking it at all. Are you going to be getting 9 lives back in stock? Thank you.
I just started buying this to feed the outdoor ferals that seem to be invisible but they're not to those of us who love them and care for them.......I need to re-order already! Thanks Chewy!
I don’t feed this to my cats, I feed it to the family of feral cats that hang around the barn where I work. These cats just showed up one day because they find the mouse population and barn amenities agreeable, but barn cats need additional food, especially during the winter. They were all really skinny when I started feeding them. I’ve been feeding them this food about 6 months now and they all fattened up a little bit and were able to maintain it through the winter. When I get to work they sprint around and shout at me until I fill their bowls and they do seem to prefer this over some of the other types of food I’ve given them, but they’re not picky.
My one cat, Binx, usually gets the seafood flavor of Friskies but it wasn't available. I figured the surf & turf would be a good compromise for her. We've had issues in the past with buying a bag of food and even if she's had it before, she'll ignore it. Thankfully, she loves this so we will be buying again!
My cats have taken to their new food very well and for that reason I am very pleased. It appears to work well with their digestive system which was one of my concerns when changing foods.
I have 2 cats and also feed a few other neighborhood cats. This kibble seems to be a fave. It is gobbled up. The larger quantity means I have to reorder less often. Thumbs up here.
