Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Answer by ChewyOct 26, 2018
Pyriproxyfen is a safe insect growth regulator which will inhibit the hatching of flea eggs and the development of flea larvae.

does frontline have to be put right on the skin?

Answer by ChewyOct 26, 2018
This product does need to be applied directly into the skin to be absorbed.

Do the fleas have to walk across the treatment for it to work?

Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2018
FRONTLINE Gold has 3 secret weapons: fipronil, to take out adult fleas and ticks and (S)-methoprene and pyriproxyfen to kill the next generation of flea eggs and larvae before they can develop into adult fleas. Once FRONTLINE Gold is applied, fipronil stores itself in the oil glands in your pet's skin. It then works continuously for 1 month as it is released from the hair follicles onto the skin and coat.

Is frontline gold safe for pregnant cats

Answer by ChewyJan 02, 2019

They don't go outside

I really don't like that stuff on their back because it burns them or it hurts them because they both cry when I put it on there so I won't put it on anymore

Did not work

Unfortunately, this product did not work for the fleas in my area. None of my cats had a reaction to this. It only helped with fleas for the first two days.

Frontline flea and tick

Works well. Eliminates almost all fleas. Occasionally you will still have to remove a tick.

easy to use

i had used a seresto collar for her last year, but she is an outdoor cat, and managed to "lose" the collar after only a couple weeks. She can't lose the drops.

I am impressed!

Finally got something that killed the fleas. Only bad part is I have to order so many for my cat pride which is very expensive. But I’m happy it works.

Excellent treatment for cats with sensitive skin

My cat hasn't tolerated other tick treatments because of his sensitivity, but this one he tolerates well and works well.
