About Full Moon Dog Treats

100% Human Grade Dog Treats

Full Moon believes dogs deserve food that’s every bit as good as what we humans feed ourselves, so they try to choose the best every step of the way. Every Full Moon treat starts with USDA-approved, farm-raised meats carefully cooked in small batches, for a quality and taste that’s evident in every bite. You’ll notice the difference the second you open the bag.

Naturally Healthy and Tasty

Regionally sourced, cage-free US poultry, Heritage US pork and ranch-raised cattle fed an all-natural diet form the foundation for all Full Moon’s meaty treats. Full Moon uses only meat from healthy, farm-raised animals and never adds any artificial colors or preservatives to their treats. Reward your pup the way nature intended, with treats full of the natural protein he needs to feel his best.

Made In The USA

Full Moon makes all their treats in fully GFSI-compliant, BRC or SQF Food Safety Standards-audited kitchens. Unlike other companies, who use high heat thermal extrusion to make their foods and treats, they slow cook their recipes under low heat to retain more of the raw ingredients’ natural nutrients and flavor. It’s a wholesome difference your pet will taste and one you’ll appreciate, too.

Raised with Care

Raising animals the right way not only guarantees a better product, it’s simply the right thing to do. Full Moon works with its family farmers across the US to ensure that only the highest ethical standards are employed in raising the poultry, pork and cattle that goes into their treats.

Quality Ingredients

Full Moon takes pride in the quality of their ingredients, and no ingredient is more important than the protein they pack into every human-grade treat. They use USDA-inspected meats sourced from Perdue Farms—the same high-quality, antibiotic-free Perdue meats you see at your local store. For over 100 years, Perdue has worked with its farmers to raise animals right and thoughtfully tend the land.

About Full Moon Pet Treats

Full Moon is a fourth generation, family-owned company that’s been making naturally delicious pet treats since 2011. The idea for Full Moon Treats was born when founder Ryan Perdue grew frustrated with all the low quality dog treats made with low-grade meat from places like China and cheap fillers like corn. Today, they make a range of great-tasting, nutritious treats made from simple, honest recipes and 100% natural ingredients. Each recipe uses USDA-approved, human-grade meat and is cooked right here in the USA in Full Moon’s very own kitchens.

tough to chew

These treats smelled amazing to my dog when I first opened the package. But when I tried to break off a piece of jerky for him, it was nearly impossible to break in pieces. When I eventually did break off a piece and gave it to him, he spit it out after trying to chew it because it was too hard. I’m assuming these treats are stale because he usually has no problem with chewing hard textured treats, such as bullies. I was expecting a softer , chewier texture like the pork jerky treats. Unfortunately these did not live up to our expectations!

Not ok

Bought these based on description and good past experience with their “nuggets” which make a great training treat; these are nothing like. They aren’t even a crunchy biscuit style treat which softens in saliva/liquid. It appears that when these are broken and swallowed the sharp corners created remain intact because they came out the other end in bloody diarrhea. I don’t like bad reviews but I think others ought to be aware before feeding. I like this manufacturer so I hope they use this as feedback for improvement.

Full Moon Chicken Strips

My pets love these treats. They would just eat these but......our smallest loves to play with her humans. Wanting them to try and take it away from her while she growls and moves it to another spot. She will keep it all day just to play with dad when he comes home from work.

These tears are a lifesaver

My sweet senior rescue girl is going through chemo and has always been a picky eater. I found this brand (we tried the savory sticks first) and they were the one thing I could always get her to eat, no matter how much the chemo messed with her. She had always been a picky eater so the fact that she would always eat them, especially even when she was nauseous from chemo, told me everything I needed to know about them and I went in and bought just about every type of product I could find. These jerky treats are amazing and she loves them as much as the savory sticks. I love that they are human grade and made in the USA. Most of all, I love that they help her keep her weight on during a hard time. Thank you so much for these products.

Real chicken

I like the fact that this is real chicken, but I guess I didn't realize that instead of being chewy it would be hard and crunchy.

surprisingly not happy poor quality

These treats were hard as a rock. I expected soft. My senior big baby can’t eat hard things. Chewy was so wonderful they refunded me. I don’t even think I am going to donate to my shelter. That is how hard. Maybe a dog would like them as a bully stick. I am not sure!!!

My 2 dogs love these!

My two Boston Terriers love this treat! They won’t eat the FM Chicken Jerky but they love to eat the Chicken Sticks. Wish I could ask them what the difference is between the two treats but they aren’t talking. Picture of Hans and Gretel
