Is the whole cover removable for washing, even the sleeping surface? One of the reviews states that it isn't, yet in the description, the cover is described as being totally removable. Thanks

This bed features a zippered, removable sofa cover that can be machine washed. For best results - Remove filling (core). Zip close. Shake off any loose debris from cover before washing. Hand or machine wash separately; cold water. Do not bleach. Line dry or tumble dry low. Bolsters should not be washed. Foam can be spot cleaned with mild soap as needed. Press excess water from mat. Do not wring. Air dry. Do not machine wash bolsters or foam.

Disappointed

The size of the bed is perfect for my standard poodle. The mattress is OK. I thought that it would be thicker, but it is functional. The tube that stands around

The size of the bed is perfect for my standard poodle. The mattress is OK. I thought that it would be thicker, but it is functional. The tube that stands around the upper perimeter does not reflect the advertised photo at all. It simply slips into the mattress cover. No separate tube, no separate zipper, no way to hold it in place. I have tried tucking the mattress cover around the bottom of the tube, but my dog’s natural movements pull it out. It looks like a mess. The ad shows a tight tailored appearance. This is isn’t it. This is not at all what I thought that I was buying. I have been very pleased with my Chewy purchases in the past. It is a disappointment. Strike one Chewy!

Dog tested, dog approved

My 100 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback absolutely loves this bed. When we've been out visiting for the day he will literally beg us to come home just so he can sleep

My 100 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback absolutely loves this bed. When we've been out visiting for the day he will literally beg us to come home just so he can sleep in his own bed. He loves the pillow, and whether he is curled up in a ball or stretched out, he's always resting on it somehow. There are times he sleeps so deeply on it that nothing rouses him, not even the mailman. This is the second time I've bought this bed, (long story, don't ask, there was a cat involved), and the days we had to wait in between beds for the new bed looked like it felt like an eternity to our dog. We have the largest kennel we could find for him and this time around the bed fits in it just right. The first one was a few inches too deep, but we made it work. The cover is removable and washable. There are two separate compartments, one for the pillow and one for the main foam bed. It can be unwieldy, but not too bad for a bed its size. When buying a bed for a very large breed dog that supports his body while laying down you should expect some degree of 'unwieldy-ness,' but it's not bad and the removable cover actually makes cleaning the bed very doable. As a word of caution, your dog may want to dig in the bed and it has no defense whatsoever against dog nails and teeth. It's an expensive bed so we just patched our first one up and made it work. He's well out of his puppy phase--4 years, 8 months old, so the danger of a repeat is low (I hope), but it's something you might want to think about. All in all we highly recommend this bed for your furry companion. I would be surprised if this wasn't his or her new favorite place in the house too.

My Lab mix is on her third bed due to bad siblings but the bed withstands a beating and is the only bed my 6 yo needs for support. She plays pretty rough and lately this bed is her recovery zone and her preference for life! Best purchase EVER for my Lola-Jo Bunni in the Jumbo size!

Not what I expected

After having a pet fusion bed for years, I was dissatisfied that I could no longer find a cover for his bed. Tried out this bed and I dislike it so much. It does

After having a pet fusion bed for years, I was dissatisfied that I could no longer find a cover for his bed. Tried out this bed and I dislike it so much. It does not fluff up as much as his other bed did, and the bottom foam and bolster foam have to be zipped in through the same space, so the bolster part does not stay in place because it has no area to hold it in place. Also the fluffy part has been falling apart since the first day. Making more of a mess than I need. The cover is loose and other than the color I just wish I would’ve bought a new bed if the brand he already had.

Tj8s required a trip to the sewing store for another foam, which I then covered with a trash bag before inserting into the bed cover.

One off?

We have purchased 8-10 of these beds. The last time, it came without the cover material. That could have been with the delivery company. The box did look like it

This time everything was there, but the bed is flat! We were waiting for it to expand just like the previous ones have. I will reach out to ask: is this a new vendor? And what can we do to make it right?

The old beds finally bit the dust. My son bought these for me and I said make sure you go thru chewy and he did. Got 2!!! I didn't like having to put them together
