Does the job, but the smell! Woof!
I figured it needed time to off gas so I spread it out when I first got it to air it out some, but that did nothing, and then I washed it three times and this thing still REEKS. It's awful. I am really hoping several more washes will help. I'd give it more starts for working but the stench ruins it for me. May find another option elsewhere. Can't return now that I washed it I'm sure.
Dog Blanket
We found that when our pet is mad at us that she will go on the bed. Needed to protect the bedding. Found a dog protector blanket that would go over the bedding so it would protect the bedding from accidents and with all the rain we have been having protects against wet dogs and muddy feet.
Amazing product
My dog likes to lick, so the waterproof is a must, but the additional tacky paw prints on the back side to keep it in place is one of my favorite features!
product leaking
This is the second one I have purchased and had no problems with the first...love it. However, I have only just recently started using the second one and it is not waterproof. There are several areas that have been soaked by a male dog trying to cover the females scent and it went right thru to the bedding. There are no visible defects so must be the inner layer. I do wash them but in cold water but always lay out to dry.

One of my cats is in the early stages of CKD (kidney failure) so he sometimes has vomiting. My other cat doesn't allow me to brush him so he gets hairballs regularly. I wanted to protect a newer piece of furniture in case either of them got sick. This blanket may not be 100% waterproof but has successfully protected against the messes we've had. It also looks stylin' in my home and I love the color. Price is very reasonable for the quality. I have also slept underneath it in a pinch when my regular comforter is going through the wash and it is pretty comfortable - though obviously not very breathable (lol). Would highly recommend to other pet parents!
FurHaven Waterproof Cat & Dog Blanket Protector
I bought this product for several reasons: waterproof, keep pet hair off the bed, and Keep paw dirt off my comforter. It does all of these things and I am thrilled. I fold it into half and half again and lay it on the floor at the end of the bed at night.
Saved my Sanity!
comfy and protects 100%! Has saved all my bedding and lots of wash. Comes out fresh, clean from wash. I line dry but warm it in the dryer for bedtime. Saved my sanity
Uncomfortable for the pup
I could see it for outdoor use but not indoor use. It's uncomfortable for my pup. I like that it's machine washable but can only use and wash in the Spring and Summer because I.have no where in the house to hang it to dry. I have to hang over the deck to dry.
good quality
Works well, if I had to do it again, I would have bought one a little larger. The bed side of the protector has little rubber paws to help prevent it from sliding around. The only negative I have is that it is hot when it is on your bed with a comforter.
Great size
Bought turquoise queen size blanket and it covers the entire mattress. Haven't had to test the waterproof or washing properties yet ("leaky" cat thankfully hasn't leaked on the bed). Using it as a bedspread as our cat has incontinence while sleeping occasionally. Since it is waterproof, it traps warm air, so might not use for the hottest part of the summer. It has a VERY "plastic" smell when first taken out of the package that takes a day to dissipate. Recommend opening the package and letting the blanket fully air out for 24 hours before using. Cats don't mind the texture or slight crinkling sound. Reasonable looking and a much better alternative to washing the bedding and mattress pad. Will update review if it does not wash well or other issues appear.
