Can the dog see out the window?

It is possible for your pup to be able to see out the window, depending on height of the seat and placement of window. The inner cushion of bed sits at 5 inches high.

Can you carry this over your shoulder (like a bag) with your dog in it?

This car seat is not designed to be worn over the shoulder. The handles are intended for easy carrying for travel.

The idea of being able to carry the seat was appealing

The bolster tether broke after a couple of months of use by our pug dog. I think this bolster probably suitable only for smaller dogs (our pug weighs 14 lbs)

The car seat and dual travel bolster bed is so great for our dog. It is well made and with the sturdy handles it is easy to take the dog out of the car in the seat
