Do these need to be boiled or baked before using or are they already good to go?

We recommend rinsing them to remove any dust or other particles that may have gotten attached. You do not need to bake or boil them but it would not hurt to do that either if you would like to be extra cautious.

I used to use catappa leaves in both my betta tanks and in my hermit crabitat. The crabs mostly ate the leaves. Are these safe for crabs to eat?

Magnolia leaves are safe for hermit crabs and can act as an additional food source for them.

Can these be used in a aquarium for the bottom of the tank

Great size!

I was surprised with the size of the bag! Definitely worth the price. The leaves are quite big and there is a very good amount in there! Keep in mind, in my picture

leaves were old, crumbly and seemed moldy

I was expecting leaves that didn't crumble to dust and that were at least brown, not black.

Great leaf package. I used these to set up 6 isopod bins and as leaf litter and I STILL haven't worked my way through an entire bag. Most of the leaves were large

Great leaf package. I used these to set up 6 isopod bins and as leaf litter and I STILL haven't worked my way through an entire bag. Most of the leaves were large and fully intact. One thing I will note... I've read that magnolia leaves are a good isopod option but to make sure you have other leave litter because it is hard to chew. I don't know how true that is, but I have noticed that other kinds of leaf litter do get eaten quicker.

DO NOT BUY FOR YOUR ANIMALS

There was a cigarette butt on one of the leaves in the unopened package. I cannot believe they are selling these for use with animals.

HUGE leaves

HUGE leaves in a HUGE bag, the magnolia leaves are great for small reptiles to hide under, needing on two or three, this bag is almost a life time supply.

Not Sterile

I didn't realize when purchasing that these were not sterilized leaves. They had bugs, spider webs, and lots of dust within the bag. But I guess they work after
