I used to use catappa leaves in both my betta tanks and in my hermit crabitat. The crabs mostly ate the leaves. Are these safe for crabs to eat?
Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2021
Magnolia leaves are safe for hermit crabs and can act as an additional food source for them.

Can these be used in a aquarium for the bottom of the tank
Answer by ChewyFeb 13, 2022
This product is intended for tanks with amphibians, snakes, lizards and invertebrates.

Do these need to be boiled or baked before using or are they already good to go?
Answer by ChewyJul 30, 2021
We recommend rinsing them to remove any dust or other particles that may have gotten attached. You do not need to bake or boil them but it would not hurt to do that either if you would like to be extra cautious.

can I see these to my milk snail?
Answer by ChewyJun 29, 2021
These leaves are suitable for invertebrates, such as snails.

Arrived open

It arrived in somewhat good condition but it was open and a lot of leaves have been crushed!

Good for salamanders

Bigger then expected too. I thought the leaves were gonna be small but they are a big size.

Huge bag of big leaves

Each leaf is 7-8" long, and there are at least 50 in the bag. Great deal, my tortoises will love hiding in these!

Large but molds quickly

Came in great condition and larger than I expected but started molding over quickly when added to my froglet holdings.

Definitely!

This is a newer product for Chewy, and I Got it right away. I dont have magnolias accessible like i do oaks. The leaves are huge, nice and crispy, and not all broken up (although i crunched them up to put them in my tank). High quality and if you are in need of leaf litter, this is an A+ in my book.

higher quantity and quality than expected

these are leaves, what can i say? but there were more of them and they were in better shape than i thought they'd be. not all crumbled up, varied sizes, pretty tough like they won't fall apart immediately. i'm using them in my bioactive ball python setup to help give the cuc (clean-up crew) places to hide and things to eat. i'm happy with the purchase.
