Real Bummer
By 123bdgm on Nov 7, 2020
I bought this food for my Malakita. Unfortunately it dried his coat out really bad which was surprising being it’s got salmon in it. However right after I switched to taste of the wild his full beautiful was back. I was bummed because I was excited to use Gentle Giants for the fact they claim it helps dogs live longer and well because come on Batman’s sidekick created it lol. Needless to say it won’t work for me and I’ll continue with Taste of the Wild.

Great Food

I love this brand of food and my picky eater likes it! That said the salmon flavor is not a fan favorite. I think we’ll switch back the chicken the next time.

Tried a lot of dog foods. have one dog with a sensitive stomach and he is better. good size. not too small that they can be inhaled into the lungs.

I debated on getting this for a long time - my 3 year old loves it....my 1 year old pit won't touch it. Won't be buying it again :(

Sounded good
By Jack on Sep 4, 2020
I was totally happy with taste of the wild dog food. When I saw a 10 yr old great Dane play with my 1 yr old puppy like a puppy. The owner to.d me he fed him gentle giant. I never heard of this food. After checking into the food and its claims that all the big dog breeds they have are living into the 20's I wanted to try it. I think my dog has an allergy to it. After 1 week on this food totally he started excessively licking and chewing his paws. Having 1 allergy dog I realised it maybe an allergy. I changed his diet back to taste of the wild 2 days ago and so far no licking or chewing. I will try 1 more time with gentle giant to see if it's really the food.

Play like you live, live like you play!
By LadyD on Sep 9, 2020
Adding GentleGiants to our big-dog diets was an amazing decision. Even in the first week of the transition from the old food I started seeing a difference in my dogs playful attitude and energy. Their digestion has been much healthier, meaning less gas. Over time their fur has become much softer and shiner and I'm even seeing less shedding in the vacuum when I clean house. GentleGiants has been amazing for my dogs. The transition was easy and they absolutely love the food. We use a mix of both the chicken and salmon blends.

cured my puppy’s diarrhea!
By RottieMum1 on Aug 18, 2020
I have a 6 month old Rottweiler puppy. She developed diarrhea and her vet had her on 3 rounds of antibiotics even though her fecal tests were negative. Diarrhea would return every time the meds were finished. We tried probiotics (several different brands) the bland food diet, and a host of other puppy foods targeted for sensitive stomachs, including veterinary prescribed foods such as Hill I/d and Royal Canin hp which helped a little but didn’t clear everything up 100 %. My husband stumbled across a Burt Ward interview and wanted to try this food, so we ordered it!....IT WORKS! My puppy has normal poop now and goes crazy for this food! We saw an immediate improvement! Highly recommend! We will I have a 6 month old Rottweiler puppy. Very good food
By Robyn on Oct 20, 2020
Rommy, the 1 year old German Shepherd Dog, loves this salmon dog food. His coat has improved to a shiny soft and no itching. He has tried several other brands but will not eat them after about a week. Rommy approves of the Gentle Giants Salmon dog food.

My dog is allergic to chicken so I have to do my research on ingredients. Chewy had made that easy, both of my labs love this food! Easy peasy

happy tummy
By Daisy on Aug 21, 2020
My dog's stomach had been stable in this food. In a two year period we had tried 5 different brands without luck. Some gave her gas, the rest gave her diarrhea/ soft stools. It was not fun. But for the past year, she's had a very regular potty! It took her a little bit to take to the food, but once she did, it's been great. I imagine her taste buds had to adjust (just like humans when transitioning from junk food to healthy food)
