Is there a way to soften these chew sticks? My Yorkie is losing his teeth and having a difficult time chewing them.

Pet parents have softened hard dental treats by steaming them. You can wrap them in a damp rag or paper towel and warm them on low heat in the microwave. You can also just try wrapping them in a hot rag or towel and then test whether they're ready by bending them and checking how hot it is to the touch.

Are these a hard stick or soft? I am looking for a healthy hard dental stick for my Shetland sheepdog.

The smell?

I have an obese dog. I cut these up into 3 pieces so it seems like he’s getting multiple treats a day. He absolutely loves these.

I’d give it a minus 5 if possible
