Great coat, just not for hound dogs

I wanted this coat to work so badly. Great color, warm fleece lining, nice thick under-strap to keep my dog’s chest warm. But sadly, like so many dog coats, this

I wanted this coat to work so badly. Great color, warm fleece lining, nice thick under-strap to keep my dog’s chest warm. But sadly, like so many dog coats, this is not sized for slender, deep-chested breeds. My 80lb American Foxhound has a chest girth of over 36” so I purchased the XXX-Large since the chest strap is always the part that doesn’t fit. He was swimming in this coat and so it had to go back. Chewy’s customer service was great as always.

Willie loves his jacket when it's raining. It has to be very cold for him to like the extra layer. Clothes on big dogs... yeah right you might say. This American Doggo is 135 pounds and could break a human leg bone like a tooth pick. Best guard dog I've ever owned. He's a very sweet pup unless he's in protection mode.

Perfect fit.

Like how it hangs down longer than most dog jackets, also the soft lining in the inside. It’s a perfect fit , love it.
