Not for me

The product does technically do what it promises, but there are a few things I did not like about it that make me hesitant to recommend it to others. The tracker

The product does technically do what it promises, but there are a few things I did not like about it that make me hesitant to recommend it to others. The tracker is fairly large, I definitely wouldn’t put it on a car collar regularly unless you have an enormous cat. You need to turn on active tracking manually in the app, otherwise the tracker just intermittently pings a location however the active tracking drains the battery much faster so instead of charging once a week you will need to charge every other day or so. I didn’t use any of the “call your pet” features, I’m not sure why I would want to? Also the app is powered by a Chinese phone service company or something, it got annoying that each time I opened the app it asked if I wanted to purchase a phone plan.

I'm glad I took pictures of it as I was setting it up, because the packaging is adorable which is always a winner in my book; however, the product itself is not

I'm glad I took pictures of it as I was setting it up, because the packaging is adorable which is always a winner in my book; however, the product itself is not durable. My dog was wearing it for about an hour and I was testing it out while he was in another room. I have multiple dogs and somehow they got it off his collar and it got chewed up. For the hour I had it, it was fun to talk through the device and I could see that it noted that Paulie was at home. But I never got to see if it works in the real world. The silicone part that straps onto the collar is way too flexible, and the slightest pull allows the device to come off. It's not an inexpensive device to lose especially if your dog runs away and you are trying to track it. Great idea, but it needs improvement. Also the directions are in a very small font which is frustrating.

I recently tried the GlocalMe PetPhone GPS & Activity Tracker Dog & Cat Collar with the 1-Month Plan in Green. While I personally don’t think this type of product is absolutely necessary for every pet owner, I do appreciate that it offers an extra layer of security and peace of mind for those who want it. The setup was straightforward, the design is lightweight, and the GPS tracking works reliably. I really like that it gives real-time updates and activity insights, which can be reassuring if you have a pet who loves to explore or tends to wander. Even though I may not feel this is an essential item for my own pets, I think it’s great that products like this exist for people who value extra safety features. It’s always good to have options—and this is definitely a solid one for anyone looking for more control and visibility over their furry friend’s adventures.

A really great gps

This product was really fun. The battery holds a good charge almost a week with just gps monitoring on. The clip for the collar takes a little work to stretch on

This product was really fun. The battery holds a good charge almost a week with just gps monitoring on. The clip for the collar takes a little work to stretch on a normal (20 pound dog) collar but it doesnt go anywhere once its on. The range on the gps is a little off, i made the fence the smallest range i could for my apartment and it still showed him way across the street. The good thing is it does immediately alert once hes out of fence. The initial setup was really easy and the app has a lot of fun features. It was so fun to call the dog and to leave recordings for him such as sit, or potty. The music is a fun feature though my dog didnt really like it , maybe in time hed get used to it. Another fun feature in the app was the health. This shows caloroes and distance and time my dog has been active which is so great for walks. I can keep an eye on how long we go and if it was beneficial for him. Overall i think this is a great product and even if you dont use the paw call features, the gps is worth it initself.

Interesting gadget but not for me

It’s a fun toy, but really only a toy. The sound on it is quite good, you can hear the person’s voice well. It plays music, which is interesting, but not sure how

It’s a fun toy, but really only a toy. The sound on it is quite good, you can hear the person’s voice well. It plays music, which is interesting, but not sure how well it works at calming the dog since we don’t actually see her when it is playing. Battery life is about four days, which is ok for such a small device. Our Shiba is 17lbs and the gps attached well to her collar. It did track her location fairly effectively also. I did turn on notifications and I will say that I would not use the notifications as they are somewhat annoying. I don’t know why my dog is bored when she literally just came in from being outside, and I don’t need to know that multiple times a day.

Decent pet phone/tracking device for the price!

The GlocalMe pet phone gps tracker is a good device for the price. In the box you get the device, 2 silicone bands that hold the device in place on your pets collar,

The GlocalMe pet phone gps tracker is a good device for the price. In the box you get the device, 2 silicone bands that hold the device in place on your pets collar, a charging cord that attaches to the device via magnet (doesn’t take long to charge), and a small directions booklet. The directions booklet that comes in the box does not contain very much information. I installed the app on an IPad and scanned the QR code to get started. Within the app itself is much more detailed instructions. I placed the device on the charger to get it fully charged. Once charged, I turned it on and continued to set it up in the app. The setting up part is a little tedious so set aside about 15-20 minutes to do that. I then began to set up my pet profile. In the pet profile it will ask information about your pet such as weight, sex, if they are spayed/neutered, breed,etc. The breed section does not have a choice for mixed breed dogs so you have to just choose one of the breeds in the mix. And it also only has the option for kg in the weight section, no lbs. Attaching the device to my dogs collar was a little difficult bc you have to really pull the band around the collar and device to get it properly attached. I had to loosen my dogs collar bc with this attached it made it a little more snug. Once on, I began trying out some of the options in the app. It has a music section (classical music) that you can add to a “playlist” and the music comes out of the device on the collar. You can also call the device and it answers so you can talk to your pet. I called it and sang to my dog and she started falling asleep. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad critique haha. You can also track your dogs steps/activity in the app which I thought was pretty cool. It shows you battery life, signal strength, and on the map you can click heat map and it lights up red where your pet is located. There is an entire section on training that you can teach your dog how to call you and many other training ideas. The directions within the app are much more detailed than what comes in the box. There is a section on setting up geofencing. And you can connect with friends pets that have this device. You also get 1 month free plan with this device. I’d say this is pretty good for the price point!
