So I bought this for my son's tank and it doesn't cone with tube or valve which is not clarified in the description on the post. Can you tell me what hose and valve I need to buy to get the bubbles going
Answer by • May 31, 2019
This bubble disc is compatible with most standard air pumps and Attaches easily with standard airline tubing.
how's the pump work and how long before you see bubbles come up
Answer by • Aug 15, 2019
GloFish LED Round Bubbling Air Stone can be added to any aquarium to highlight GloFish. The air pump, airline tubing and check valve are sold separately. A check valve is a short valve about an inch or so long that you can buy wherever air pumps and air pump accessories are sold through local fish and pet stores. This valve is inserted inline, about 8" from the air pump. So you attach an 8" piece of tubing to the pump, insert the valve, and then attach the rest of the tubing to the valve, and run it to the bubbler in the tank. The valve keeps water from backing into the air pump in the event of a power failure. Once setup, you should see the bubbles.
Does it stick to the tank or go under rocks?
Answer by • Apr 18, 2021
This bubbling stone sits on the bottom of the tank. However, you will need an air pump, air line tubing and a check valve. The air pump sits outside the tank and the tubing connects to its port as well as the port on the air stone to create bubbles. The check valve inserts into the air line approximately 6 inches from the air pump and prevents water from back siphoning into it. Then plug the light in. It is UL approved for safety for this purpose.
The dimensions listed above are 8.25 x 4 x 2.625 inches. I assume the 2.625” would be the height but the item’s round so wouldn’t the width and length be the same all the way around? Specifically, is it 4 inches across or 8.25?
Answer by • Sep 13, 2019
This stone is approximately 3 inches in diameter.
