Does Not Stay On!
This collar is absolutely pointless. Had it for several weeks now and it pops off several times a day at the drop of a hat. We bought it for our cat who is a little escape artist in the hope that if he gets out and gets lost at least we have our number on the collar if someone finds him, but he would not make it 3 feet without it falling off on its own. Looks great, but total waste of money IMO.
Great Collar
I needed an new collar for my cat. He had outgrown the one from his kitten years and the material had attracted his fur to the point it was "matted" with his fur. (from too many pets). He wanders around so I also wanted one that if someone "found" him they would know he belonged to someone. Not only does the collar fit perfectly but the fur doesn't stick to the fabric. Great item for the price.
Poor design make customization useless
Avoid this one. As others have mentioned, if you adjust the collar for a normal-sized cat, the personalized writing slides under the plastic and can't be read.
Kitten 2 Collar 0 Bell 0
Purchased it immediately upon adopting a12 wk old kitten, within three weeks, kitten lost collar twice, bell came off twice, and presently can't find Collar for an indoor kitten. We went back to her original collar since it seems more secure and it us a break away, too.
Doesn't stay on
We ordered 2. Took all of 5 minutes for the first ginger to get his off, and about 8 or 10 minutes later his brothers was off. Not impressed in the least bit with spending over $30 on 2 collars with terrible clasps. JUNK!
Defective
The quality of the collar itself is very nice as well as the stitching for the name and phone number. My issue is with the quality of the bell. The bell does not ring and almost seems as though they crushed it before they attached it to the collar. The noise that it does make sounds like a plastic ball inside of the crushed metal bell. If you are looking for a collar with a bell I would go to a different brand such as the Frisco. I am much happier with that one.
Collar is BETTER than stated!
Our cat hates collars so it worried me that the description of this collar says it is 1/2" wide. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is only 3/8" wide - a HUGE difference for a cat's tiny neck. It's a great collar, well made, and even better that it's not as wide as stated and the info on it fits nicely. They should update their site because the wider size might turn people off. This is perfect.
Clasp Not Tight
It's cute and all but the break-a-way clasp is too loose. My cat keeps losing it. I do not recommend this product.
***Put phone number first***
Buyers should be told to put their contact info first, then the cat’s name for the collar text. I put the cat name first, then phone number. When cinched down to fit my cats, the phone number was partially covered. I ordered 3 of these for my 8, 11, and 12.5 lb. cats who all have different neck sizes and part of the phone number is covered for all 3 of them. All of their names (5-8 characters) are entirely visible. If they ever get lost, I’d much rather my phone number shows than the cat name. My cats don’t care what I call them, anyway!
Bright and sturdy collars
Most cats don't enjoy having a collar on, but with outdoor cats it can be necessary. I ordered four of these for my cats, and they are exactly what I needed. I did remove the bell, so there is less to get caught on something as they go over and through various fencing in our area. I like the printing of the number right on the nylon. The numbers are very clear even if you cannot get super close to the cat. I'm very happy with this purchase!
