Can the bundle of string be unraveled, or is it stitched together in the center?

Answer by ChewyJul 17, 2021
This toy is stitched through the middle so that it cannot unravel.

My cat likes to pull and eat any piece of carpet that maybe stuck out and gets sick to the stomach, if I don't go around on occasion and snip loose carpet string. Will this cause my cat to get sick if it is eaten?

Answer by ChewySep 17, 2021
This toy is not designed for consumption. Supervise your pet when using since small parts can present a choking hazard or internal blockage. Discontinue use if the toy is damaged.

Hi. Where is this toy made?

Answer by ChewySep 17, 2021
KONG plush toys are made in China.

Can the catnip be removed?

Answer by ChewyJul 03, 2024
The catnip is sewn into the toy.

The cats like me to tuck the little mouse in the loops for them to pull out. Arlo especially takes this toy around the house with him. Charlie likes the crinkle band and sometimes I tuck the mouse in there for him to pull out. The yarn loops stay attached and provides independent play. It’s fun to watch them play and react to the crinkle band. Cleans up easily and they keep coming back to play.

My kitty loved this toy! She played with the mouse for hours, and she loved the noise of the crinkle wrap. The yarn is super soft, too, and string is her favorite. The only drawbacks for me and my kitten were the size of the yarn and the durability of the mouse part. My kitten likes thinner string, so the yarn bit didn’t actually hold her attention as much as I thought it would. That could totally be a personal preference for my cat, though. As for the mouse, like I mentioned, she played with that thing pretty hard. After less than a week or so, I had to throw it out because it was a bit of a choking hazard. It was already kind of small, so I just worried she would eat something she shouldn’t and thought better safe than sorry. Overall, really cute, entertaining toy for a decent price!

I couldn’t even finish unboxing the order

This was the second one I ordered, as my two cats were fighting over the first one I got. Apparently I was unpacking too slowly and he decided he wasn’t interested

This pull a part cat toy with catnip had our 4 cats fighting over it, since I only purchased one. Purchasing more today! Each cat pulled apart for investigating the toy by the easy velcro wrap, then the mouse, then the yarn - so actually a 3-in-1 toy! Highly recommend - yet buy one for each cat!

My cat had zero interest in this.

I have to wonder if there was ANY catnip in this so-called 3-in-1 toy, which is just a bunch of yarn. The crinkle factor was irrelevant as Leo took 1 sniff and walked

I have to wonder if there was ANY catnip in this so-called 3-in-1 toy, which is just a bunch of yarn. The crinkle factor was irrelevant as Leo took 1 sniff and walked away. The little mouse no doubt appeals to adults, but I couldn't entice him-- tried on several different days... but no interest!

Great idea, questionable material for "yarn"

I don't usually write reviews, but felt it was necessary as a cat mom, past kitten foster mom, and advocate for cats. My cats love the mouse, I had to take the "yarn"

I don't usually write reviews, but felt it was necessary as a cat mom, past kitten foster mom, and advocate for cats. My cats love the mouse, I had to take the "yarn" from them (although I am sure they'd love it too). I inspected it thoroughly to make sure it wouldn't "fray" or "shed" like the polyester yarn does when I crochet; this was my fear, it does shed. The "yarn" comes apart at the end, taking my nails and running it at the end of the "yarn" ball pulls it apart - little pieces at a time. I say that screams "danger". I have 9 cats who are very active and rough with their toys, so this is the worriesome part. I have done some research on crochet toys for cats, cotton seems to be the answer, but I have yet to follow through with making some due to the fear of the cat claws and teeth; polyester yarn is a no go. I can't imagine having any of my cats swallowing it and causing health issues. I truly thought this was a great idea (and solution to my issue with my cats attacking my yarn as I am crocheting), but this was/is not the answer for me. If you purchase this product, watch your cats and make sure they are not swallowing the small pieces that this "yarn" sheds.

Dangerous for some cats

My cat ate almost all the yarn off this toy. She left nothing but nubs of the fabric so be very careful especially if your cat loves to chew on things.

This toy yarn with a hidden mouse is so much fun for my ten year old Siamese, Rolf. Apparently the tiny mouse is stuffed with some very strong cat nip, because Rolf goes crazy for it and once he gets it out of the yarn, he bats it and chews on it. It's still tasty to him after many play sessions! Very soft, easy to put together again and again. A small piece of velcro holds the crinkly sounding band together, and the band holds the mouse to the yarn. So simple, and so fun to see my kitty happy!
