I’ve had mine for about 8 months and it’s lost its stiffness from the folding and from one of the cats laying in top of it. Is there anyway to regain the integrity of the structure? Even with reinforced ends, the center with cave in.

Cat oils and fur left on carpet fibers may soften the carpet. Simply vacuuming (to remove fur and other pet dander), then washing the rug with soap and water to remove fur oils followed by hanging straight/flat to dry will help to bring much of the original springiness back.

Is it machine washable?

This play mat should be cleaned using a sticky roller or vacuum to remove fur. If needed, use soap and water to remove stains. Rinse using a garden hose. Hang flat to dry. Do not tumble dry.

Would an adult cat like this or is it more for kitties?

This mat is suitable for cats of all sizes and ages. There are 14 holes ranging from 2 inches to 7 inches. The medium to large holes have expansion slits allowing cats to pass through or pop their heads out. The small holes are meant for paws to poke through.The safety slits can be elongated about an additional inch, making them 2 inches long total.The holes can be made larger or even interconnected if need be.

Can this be torn apart? My cat seems to like chewing on it and I’m afraid he’s gonna eat it

billie's a very energetic kitty who loves tunnels, so i thought i might try this out. the instant i put it down, she was all over it. weeks after this purchase, and she's still sleeping in or ON it, slinking underneath, and sometimes even attacking the flat rug. the endless forms the rug can take ensures that there will always be a new space to explore for a cat who gets easily bored. i like hiding her favorite toys in inaccessible spots underneath, and watching her puzzle out how to retrieve them. i do wish it required a little less maintenance to clean and preserve the stiffness of the fabric, so potential buyers should be aware of that. it's not so much the fault of the manufacturer as it is the commitment the pet owner is willing to take.

My boys absolutely love the ripple rug and I am so happy they will play WWE all the time on it and hide in it, especially my orange cat. It wasn't hard at all to put together and I just kind of roll it up or do whichever and they lay on it. Hide in it scratch it. The only thing that I did different is I sprayed some catnip spray on it but I will say that the top rug is kind of hard to vacuum but be very careful staining on it cuz it doesn't have the grip like the bottom rug and you will slide

I already knew my cat was going to like this, but she loooves it! She’s even crawled in the openings and slept inside it. An amazing toy for engaging those hunter/predator instincts; hiding toys inside, providing stimulation such as movement and sound inside it. She loves to just curl up in a loaf and nap on it, scratch it, make biscuits. Couldn’t recommend it more strongly for cat owners!

My cat loves digging for toys so she has so much fun darting in and out of the ruffles in the mat chasing her mouse toys. If you’re hesitant about the price like I was, it’s 100% worth it! We were hesitant to invest in this rug in case our cats didn't like it. However, if you have a cat that to tunnel or pounce on things underneath blankets, then the Ripple Rug is for them. We put memory foam bath mats underneath our Ripple Rug so that our wobbly boy can safely pounce and tumble. Having the Rug be washable is a great bonus for his occasional litter box mishaps too. At first I thought this was pretty expensive for essentially a piece of cloth with some holes cut in it, but this toy is very high quality and my cats love it! The bottom rug has a non-slip coating on the underside so that they don't go flying when they tackle the rug. The fabric itself is really nice for them to scratch on, and they love to hunt toys and one another in the ripple rug. I definitely recommend for all cats who like to pounce, hunt, and burrow.
