I gave my long hair, 14-pound cat 6 treats the first day and 4 the second day (much less than the recommended amount per day) and he vomited within 10-15 minutes both times. He vomited up a large hair ball the first day, which was great (he always feels better after ridding his stomach of a large amount of hair). However, because his stomach was then void of hair, all he vomited up the second day was food and water. I haven't given him any since, and not sure I will unless I suspect he's having a hard time getting rid of the hair in his stomach. Bottom line... in my experience, these treats are effective in getting rid of hair balls, but may cause your cat to vomit every time you feed them any, regardless if they have hair in their stomach or not.
I really wish they still made the hairball treats - as soon as she ate some, this long-haired older girl went straight to the litter box - while she likes the new ones, they don't compare to the hairball formula which kept things moving, and far fewer hairballs thrown up here and there... hopefully the nutrition of the new treats are worth it!
Best treat ever! Definitely cleans their teeth. Just recently had a yearly vet visit for my 16 year old and my 2 year old kitties and the vet said their teeth looked great! That was fantastic news, especially for my 16 yo!
My very picky cat goes absolutely crazy whenever we pull the Greenies bag out. The other day he tried to claw his way up my husbands leg when he went to get the greenies bag out of the cabinet. He loves these. I have to limit the amount to keep him from overeating and we only use these as an occasional treat not a meal.
My two tyrants have me trained to open the Kitty greenies on their command. They love both the dental catnip flavors and the tuna skin treats.
My cat really likes these and it does help with help ca Hair balls. He might get them once in a while. But it's not all the time like he was.
All greenies my cats love! I like ordering other treat varieties with their greenies too! Keeps them happy and healthy!!
I use Greenies to get my 3 cats to go places....like "come up from the basement and you'll get a greenie or two".....zip....everyone comes running up the stairs.
These are a huge hit with my cat. 8pm is treat time and she never lets me forget! She loves them. Keep them in a secure area though, because my girl got ahold of the bag during the night, ripped a hole in it and chowed down! If that isn’t a positive review I don’t know what is, LOL!
The Greenies Felines Smart Bites jar was broken and the bites was all over the box
