The Proof Is In The Poop
This was Halo's tagline for this food prior to changing the recipe and decreasing the bag size from 4lbs to 3.5lbs. Well...if the proof is in the poop then this is a FAIL. My Yorkie happily ate the previous formula for many many years...and as advertised...pooped normally and digested the food without incident. He was SO regular with poop and rarely had any issues) that whenever I saw remnants of other messy dog poop on the street I wondered what people were feeding their dogs!? However, since slowly transitioning to this new formula...nothing but problems. Poop is no longer proof of anything except the fact that this food does not agree with him. At this point, he has simply refused to continue eating it. After all these years I hate to experiment with a new brand, but I have no choice. Why did Halo change a good thing...I'll never know.
Small Breed Dog Food
I ordered this because you did not have the chicken and chicken liver and I needed food. My dogs do not like this food and I end up throwing half their dinner out.

Picky pup likes it
We have a chihuahua/rat terrier mixed-breed that is picky about her dry food. She eats the Halo food readily. I also like that the ingredients are items that she can actually digest, with no corn, by-product "meals", or other fillers. A good diet is expensive, but worth it.
HALO puppy food
I am switching my puppy from her food she was raised on to this food. I have a book that rates this food as a very good choice for Shih Tzu breed. We are in the process of switching, and Chynna seems to like it. Besides, it comes in a 4 pound bag which is easy for me to handle.
I’ve found my food!
Dogs love it. Holistic and humane. Regulated their digestion. They are happy and healthy. Worth the little extra price point versus some others, as I have been nothing but pleased!
