Rock Hard!
I got these while looking for ideas for training treats. I figured I could cut up some sausages into tiny bite-sized pieces for a high-reward training treat. When I opened the package and grabbed one to let my dog try it first, they were rock-hard! I couldn't cut them up and my dog could barely chew them! I think the packaging is misleading for this treat.
Unbelievable rock hard, no way to rip them apart into smaller pieces. Instead of taking the risk of my dog potentially choking on it, I threw the whole bag away. Don’t recommend whatsoever
will not buy again
Too hard to break apart as a training treat. My dog gets frustrated trying to take a bit while training. Will not purchase again.

Can’t use these at all as they are rock hard; can’t cut safely.

Happy Howie's is a great brand- these are tougher than the Turkey sausage- hard to cut- so they become a long-lasting special reward for my picky eaters- if your dog doesn't have a lot of jaw power, they may have difficulty chewing
Emergency surgery
Do NOT buy these. From here or any other place. These caused a blockage in the small intestines our healthy 9 year old chocolate lab, eventually leading to her death. Please please don’t let this happen to your family.
Do not buy
I was really excited for these, but unfortunately they are rock hard and stale. They are so hard that I can’t cut them, break them, or do anything with them other than throw them away. I didn’t even attempt to feed them to my dog. I wish I would have listened to other reviews that said the same thing, and then not bought them.

I purchased this in a store. My dog loved them, but they gave her hilariously awful smelling farts. If you're anosmia-afflicted, or you just don't mind dog gas, these treats are pretty great. Note that they are intended to be a bit hard or tough to make them last as a chewing treat, but you can soften them by microwaving them for five seconds if they're still too tough. If you want soft meat treats, more like traditional people-food sausage, this probably isn't for you. If your pup prefers treats that stand up to a bit of gnawing, it's a good treat to try.
Great treat
Absolutely a great treat. Ordering more and different treats. My 13 yr old puppy deserves the best!
Poor choice
Hard as rocks. Had to throw away. Couldn’t even cut into pieces for my dogs. Afraid they would choke.
