I've been getting these treats for several months now, we have a 1.5-year-old collie and 3-year-old pittie, each get one at night. I love that they're rawhide free, I buy two or three different treats that Pork Chomps sells because of that. They aren't a treat that will occupy your dog for very long, and that isn't what I buy them for. Just a nighttime treat or a high value reward if they've been really well-behaved. The dogs don't seem to have a preference for flavor, and they've never caused a mess (other than a little dog drool on the floor). Love the price, a bag generally lasts us 25 days, can't complain!
These most definitely will stain. I had red all over my floor after my dog ate one. AND…they are NOT digestible. He has pooped pieces of it for days and apparently when I thought he had chewed half the stick, he actually swallowed it. And it came out hard and whole. I can’t believe he didn’t have a blockage or worse. Waste of money because they went in the garbage. BEWARE!
Not the longest-lasting stick treats but my dogs really enjoy it and I enjoy the price. I haven't noticed any staining but my dogs that are 30-70lbs finish it about as quickly as I give it to them. Would prefer if they didn't dye them though.
I saw the commercials and was entertained but no thought of purchasing anything. My VET was out of heartworm meds and suggested chey.com I thought it would be way too difficult to get THEM to contact MY doctor for the approval. It went so smooth!
These are fine, they're way smaller than I expected -- my fault, I should have read more carefully. But they only last each of my dogs maybe a minute? I do get a little worried one will chew right through the middle and choke on a shard. Maybe best for smaller dogs who will gnaw on them more slowly? Not the best for my mid-sized 50lb girl.
Was not a fan and would be very careful about ordering this product. When broken up this product becomes shards of glass/chicken bone-like. Was very worried after feeding to my dog that I threw the rest of the bag out. Would not even consider giving the remains to other pet owners.
I bought for my dog to have a variety of chews for snacks or to keep him busy (he’s an Australian Shepherd) & spends his time herding me. At first he liked the beef but not the plain or chicken flavors. He leaves the latter in his bed untouched.
My Dawgs are looking forward to this treat. I'm not sure what they're doing for their gut. It takes a while for the little Dawg to get through them. I break them up for her. So far all Good
Gracie got so excited when I gave her three of each bone flavor to see if she likes them. She loves these pork chomps! But, my other yorkie Rocco didn’t like them. He took a sniff of each flavor of which one he wanted and he walked away. Definitely recommended for a small dog!
We tried these out in order to keep our dogs occupied a little longer than the time it takes to swallow a softer treat. They loved them, but we only gained 2 mins of chew time. I would buy them again because they are a middle ground option for our 10 year old that has had to have some teeth removed. Also—there are a variety of flavors in the package. These are different colors. We have not seen any staining (on dogs or carpets) from the dyes used.
