Happy Howie’s

At another pet food store, years ago I found Happy Howie’s sausage dog treats. At the time I only had one dog. I bought one 12” treat and would break into smaller pieces. My Australian Terrier loved them. The pet food store I purchased them from started having problems and didn’t have Happy Howie’s any longer. Now! Hollywood Feed Carries smaller sausage treats, and my pups (2) Australian Terriers love them.

Good substitute for the rolls

I miss the refrigerated logs, but I haven’t found another brand that worked as well for my dog training as well as happy howies. My canine students love these, I chop them up really small and a whole pack lasts a month with several dogs. Only 4 stars because one pack of the 3 I ordered were so hard I couldn’t cut them, but I found that letting them sit in their container with some fresh air softened them enough

Good but difficult

My dog is a huge fan of happy Howie's but this one, just like the turkey is way too hard to cut and with her being small, I have to cut these very small so she can chew and not chip a tooth. It is not worth the trouble. Once the rolls are back in stock I shall purchase quite a few.

DO NOT BUY

I was really excited for these, but unfortunately they are rock hard and stale. They are so hard that I can’t cut them, break them, or do anything with them other than throw them away. I didn’t even attempt to feed them to my dog. I wish I would have listened to other reviews that said the same thing, and not bought them.

Excellent trading tool

Our dog Duke eats the Lamb sausages right up, along with Howie’s Wulff sticks. We use the lamb sausages as a training tool by cutting them up in small pieces and as a reward when we let our dog run free on our 5 acres.

Dogs liked them but they are hard as a rock.

I was thinking these were more like the larger rolls in consistency but they are not. They say you can cut them up but they are extremely hard. I have one to each dog but I worried about them swallowing it whole (big dogs). I tossed the bag after using 3 treats. I'm sure they are an ok product but scared me a bit. Wasn't what I expected.

theses sausages are the best snack i’ve ever given my dogs. they’re almost good enough to eat yourself! but you dog will not be happy.

mmmmmmmm!!!

On the pricey side, but worth it as a special treat. Hope they come back in stock soon. It's been hard to find lamb treats of any brand, and these are excellent (easy to break into pieces, and substantial enough not to break in your pocket). My dogs say these are delicious!

Pup loves them

These were just what I was looking for. These treats fit perfectly in the WestPaws Qwizl toy and provide up to an hour of entertainment for my dog try to get it out. And he loves the taste enough that he finds it willing to work to get it out.
