What are a complete list of the ingredients of this product? I only see “made with” listed but not a complete list. I even went to the Hartz website and couldn’t find the ingredients label. Anyone?

Hartz Topical Flea & Tick Spray for Dogs has the following ingredients: Lemon Grass Oil 0.20%, Cedarwood Oil 0.80% , Sodium Lauryl Sulfate 2.10%, Other Ingredients (Water, Isopropyl, Polyglyceryl Oleate, Glycerin and Vitamin E) 96.90%.

Does this need to be reapplied throughout the day to be effective? It’s not a time limit of effectiveness.

Great alternative to chemicals

I don't love the idea of pumping topical flea and tick medicine into my dog's bloodstream when she doesn't need the protection all the time. We apply this as needed,

I don't love the idea of pumping topical flea and tick medicine into my dog's bloodstream when she doesn't need the protection all the time. We apply this as needed, when we go fishing, hiking, or camping. It sprays a pretty strait stream as opposed to broad mist, so I use a rubber glove on one hand to work it into her fur. So far it's worked well - we've never had flea or tick issues!

bad reviews and misleading

People leaving 1 star reviews aren’t using this product correctly. This is only suppose to be used occasionally and used when going on hikes and walks. I’m giving 5 stars because I am a pheasant hunter and I needed something to keep the ticks away that isn’t a 100 collar that you need to keep on you’re dog. My uncle spends 200 to keep ticks off his dog when we’re hunting and we went on a 3-4 hour hunt today, his dog had 3 ticks (a Brittany) with a expensive collar, a gel on the dogs back, and a vest. My dog (a golden retriever) with this hartz spray combined with dog whisperer hunting spray 0 ticks. This stuff works and a shield like described not as a killer of all fleas and ticks people. I put it on my dog when I’m out, then when I get home she gets a bath to get it off. Id highly recommend this spray combined with dog whisperer for outdoors!

We searched for flea and tick spray and saw Hartz Nature Shield reputable brand free of parabens etc. Being grownups we don’t sit and play on the web we use our brains so no reason to click through the pretty pics- until the can arrived. No directions/cautions on the can on how to open. Closely examining it we had a close call with spraying the poison in an eye. Yes, directions on the website after signing in.

When I first moved to Central Florida my dogs were unexpectedly infested with fleas. We live in a wooded area and didn't realize how bad it could be. Since then we've learned we have to regularly keep up with prevention. My dog's take Flea medicine to help prevent but I have never trusted the flea sprays because they are often to harsh to have around children. With that being said, I was very excited when Hartz sent me this natural Flea and Tick Spray to try. It isn't made with all the harsh chemicals and it's completely safe to have around children. I think the smell is pleasant as well. I've been using this when my dogs have time outdoors to prevent any fleas jumping on them and keep the mosquitoes away. It works really well and I would definitely recommend it.
