Better than other harnesses, but...
This harness fits really well. However as a no pull harness it doesn't prevent our dog from pulling. He's a Boxer pup about a year old and 70 lbs. He still pulls hard. It is a little easier to control him and the D handle on the back is helpful.
not safe - d ring snapped
I ordered this harness back in October. I loved it. It fit great. I also love the handle if I need to grab my dog quickly. But today, my 55lb dog saw another dog and pulled and the D ring snapped. I will say that the material did not tear. It was a scary situation and luckily I was able to catch my dog. The D ring had 0 rust, or any signs of damage, prior to snapping. I would give more than 1 star, but we live on a busy road and my dog could have been hit!!!
Good Harness
I do recommend this harness but be careful about the sizing. My dog it 30 lbs and I went with the large vs medium. It would be too small on a large dog. If you get this, get a size larger than you need for your dog and you should be ok.
broke in two months
This harness is mediocre. It fits my boxer a little strange. He still pulls with it on. The belt broke on it within two months so now we can’t use it.
HDP Big Dog No Pull Dog Harness
I have bought 3 HDP harnesses from Chewy in the past and for some reason this last one the front chest strap is flimsy and not as strong as my first two I bought. The strap keeps slipping, too. Maybe, because this is a large and the others were XL?? Also, the handle is cheaper feeling. I do like the HDP harnesses as easy to slip on our dog.
Easy to use and effective
I was looking for a simple easy to use harness for my energetic dog. I borrowed my neighbors dog harness for a trail run. It was more complicated although effective. I wanted something that could be slipped on with ease. I am completely satisfied although at first the clasp was tight it is now perfect and Niki has enjoyed being able to move her head around without having a leash attached to it. I would defiantly recommend.
no pull harness
they fit great and are easy to put on. however just 3 days later one started to ripe. But in their defense my dog did roll in the ground while it was on him so he is partly to blame but i would think the harness would been made more durable but the threads started coming loose after the 3rd day so would not recommed for a actlly dog
Need better sizing
I like the harness. However, the sizing is not correct. Thankfully for my one dog, I ordered a size down, and it fits him. My other dog was a few inches over the smaller size, so I ordered her the bigger one, but it is too big. These stretch that is the most important thing to know. Within one or two wearings, the material stretched. I am not sure if I would recommend it or not. I like the harness, it works, but the sizing is just not right.
Greatly reduced pulling
Would 100% recommend! This reduced pulling so much! It has made our walks so much more enjoyable!
not recommended
Although the material is very good, the adjustable clasps will not stay in place and pose a hazard to my dogs by continually sliding and loosening the straps. will not buy again.
