I have fought skin issues with King LOUIS, an American Staffordshire Terrier, for years. He had three series of shots. I started doing research and advice from a first year veterinarian. Who advise me to go with. Venison. She gave me other suggestions, but he has improved exponentially! It’s costly but well worth it!

A lot of Changes Without Warning

I fed this to one of my dogs for some time before she passed... both this one and the buffalo formulas. No issues. I started feeding this to 2 of my smallest dogs

I fed this to one of my dogs for some time before she passed... both this one and the buffalo formulas. No issues. I started feeding this to 2 of my smallest dogs last year. The first bag was perfectly fine, but when I got the second, it was clear something was very wrong. The dogs began to poop in the house. Their coats and the poop smelled almost sickly sweet. So I did a bit of digging, and turns out the company has added a lot of things to this food without warning to consumers. Every formula has what they call a "super food" blend added, and in my opinion, it is full of things that are not even necessary to have in a dog food. The fact there was no warning is primarily why I rated this so low. Do not be deceived by the "venison and sweet potato" label. This food is not at all limited ingredient. Loads of fruits, veggies, and even pork and lamb. Yes, I contacted the manufacturer, and all they wanted to do was send me a probiotic for the girls. Given that would not have helped the weird smell about them, I declined. They no longer eat this, and my house is once again normal.
