My dogs love this stuff. Sometimes I cook it up with liver, or chicken, or turkey, or hamburger meat. Then I freeze it in quart containers and use it later as a side dish to their regular food, which is Fresh Pet. I have four little dogs 5 pounds up to 8 pounds and this bag lasts about six months. It’s too bad it’s so expensive.

Very weird smell

I bought this because honest kitchens base mix was out of stock and I liked that I knew what ingredients were in it. Unfortunately upon arrival it came with a very

I bought this because honest kitchens base mix was out of stock and I liked that I knew what ingredients were in it. Unfortunately upon arrival it came with a very weird "spoiled" smell. I just chocked it up to being dog food, but the honest kitchen has never had a "smell". I've fed it to my liver shunt puppy who has a low protein diet (I add in the protein) and he has completely deteriorated. When I stopped this food he's begun to get back to himself. It could 100% just be my dog, but between the smell and the decline, I won't be trying this food again.

To my surprise my dogs seem to enjoy this pre-mix. I thought it might be a fluke but they ate it for more than one meal. My dogs can be picky and the fact that they not only ate this once but ate it again for another meal is incredible. If they continue to eat by the time we finish the bag I will definitely be adding this mix to our rotation.
