I trained my Great dane on a head lead as a young puppy. Head leads have been proven to provide more control to any dog, especially giant ones. I have owned giant dogs my whole life and used head leads on them as well. This head lead is different it uses the same concept of control but puts the pressure to the back of the head instead of downward pressure on the bridge of nose like other brands. Its also customizable with size which makes it cost effective. I have enjoyed this product since purchase and I think my dog is more comfortable when we go out about too.

I liked the head halter very much but have been using leather leashes for 30 years and had a hard time with how slippery the leash is. My dog still pulled but nothing

I liked the head halter very much but have been using leather leashes for 30 years and had a hard time with how slippery the leash is. My dog still pulled but nothing compared to how bad she used to. Would it be possible to make a head halter that attaches to a leash? The pressure at the back of the neck as opposed to underneath made a difference.

Soft and comfortable

I haven’t been able to control my two year old Golden Retriever. He’s so strong and impulsive it’s a struggle to tale him anywhere. I’ve tried almost everything including a prong collar. A head halter was the most successful but he struggled against it. The Sidekick is soft and comfortable for both him and me. He adjusted to it easily and it’s made a huge difference in walking with him.

This worked like magic on my 65lb Pity who pulls all the time. I've had him for 4 months (3year old rescue). I never thought that I could walk him without being pulled like a rag doll by this reactive boy. Just like the description says "calms dog". it was like kryptonite for my pup. I don't know how it works but it does. Highly recommend to anyone who has a dog that pulls. Answered prayers for me. Hope it works for you as well.

Our dog did not tolerate wearing this using the over-the-nose option. We might have been able to train him to tolerate it with enough time, but the material of the leash is very slippery and difficult to hold onto. It also lacks a second handle closer to the attachment point, which is helpful if you need to hold the dog closer to you. Overall, not worth the money.

Great in conjunction with training!

We are using this transitional with our trainer to mostly help with confidence building. From the first time he put it on, it gave him just the right amount of focus

We are using this transitional with our trainer to mostly help with confidence building. From the first time he put it on, it gave him just the right amount of focus to be able to make his own decisions and gain that much needed confidence out in public! It was definitely something he had to get used to, and he still has his moments that he would prefer to not have it on (usually when overwhelmed), but for the most part he absolutely loves this leash. The second he sees it out, he knows he's going to have lots of fun. I do notice it helps with pulling as well, which is definitely a plus. Definitely recommend, just be sure to watch the introduction videos and be consistent.

The leash really is hard to hold and it’s a bit bulky on a dog with a short nose, like a pit mix. My dog was also pawing at it the entire time because it was slightly

The leash really is hard to hold and it’s a bit bulky on a dog with a short nose, like a pit mix. My dog was also pawing at it the entire time because it was slightly obstructing his vision. Didn’t work for me, but if you have a dog with a longer snoot that doesn’t pull or mind things on their nose, then it may work better!
