I previously purchased the regular 11+ version, which my almost 16 year old seemed to love. She is indoor only so I quickly went to purchase the indoor 11+ version the next time around, but realized upon arrival that the pieces are quite a bit larger than they are in the regular version. My girl has all her teeth so she can and still does eat it but I notice she does not quite gobble it down as she does with the smaller pieces. I am switching back to the regular 11+ version and will mix the rest of this bag with that one!
Having two 17 yr olds I feed them Hills Science Diet 11+ dry food. I usually get the Sensitive Stomach because they kibble is smaller in size and easier for the male cat to consume. But I didn’t find that one on Chewy so I ordered the Indoor one instead. My female enjoys it but her teeth are better than his. He can’t crunch anymore. I prefer the Sensitive Stomach one.
I switched to this formula for my 12 1/2 yr old girl and 14 1/2 yr old boy about 5 months ago. In less than a month I could see great changes in them! Their coats are softer and shinier than ever before and they aren't vomiting anymore. The hair is passing right through, no more hairballs! They eat this small kibble happily.
While I can't speak to the taste of the product, my cat certainly has. She loves this product. She is not a "princess" she does enjoy her food when it is tasty, bite-sized and she doesn't know it's good for her. She's 12 now and deserves the best.
My senior cat does not mind the taste, and occasionally tried to eat the kibble. After I got a kitten it seemed that my senior cat preferred the size of my kittens kibble, same brand but kitten version. I wish they made the senior food with smaller kibble for the sensitive senior cat teeth. She refuses to eat the bigger kibble now :/
Chewy is always so good! The customer service is amazing and my kitty is happy! I love having the kitty stuff come on a monthly basis. Thank you, Chewy!!
I don’t normally review but after thinking I could switch to this food once I received it I was surprised to see how large the kibble was for a 11+ brand. George doesn’t have many teeth left and his current kibble is small. I just expected the kibble to be sized more appropriately for a senior cat. He loves the flavor so it’s a bummer it won’t work.
I have been using the one for cats over 7 and never knew about this one so I tried it out and it's what my senior cats needed because they are moving a lot of fur through the bowls I never noticed before, they don't throw up fur or food and they don't seem to have a problem eating the food even though a few of them have tooth issues, one cat with a chronic respiratory problem seems to breathe a lot better and have more energy on this food, my male cat seems to produce more urine on this food, have nothing bad to say about it, am switching to it.
Hills Science Diet and Weruva wet cat food is the best according to my Cat, Boonie. She loves it. Never change.
we have an older cat who was loosing weight--switched to this food--kitty loves it and looking much better-gaining weight--fur looking better--more energy--thank Science Diet for taking care of him!
