My Lucky is a very, very fussy cat! So, I was surprised when he stood on the case of Hills Science Diet Urinary Hairball Control Chicken and Vegetable Stew. Once I opened the can, he dug right in and kept eating and eating. Once in awhile, he would pick up his head and lick his lips. Amazing!! Tippy, Salem, and my 2 outside, Bebe and Kay also liked it! That whole case was gone in no time flat! I couldn't believe it! What I like.. It is free of artificial flavors and preservatives Has optimal levels of magnesium to help their urinary system Food is made in the USA

My pets loved this!! Let me start by saying we’re usually hesitant to bring in new food because our cat is a picky eater. Hints introducing this in a can, I wasn’t sure if it was worth dirtying a dish if she wouldn’t give it the time of day. To our surprise, she devoured this. Without hesitation. No upset stomach or adjustments. From the moment the can was open we had her attention. We also attracted in our two dogs who wanted a taste as well, they loved it JUST as much. Again, no upset stomachs. A great option, just a bit pricey. We’ve gone back to only feeding this to our cat but our dogs continue to be interested anytime a can opens.

Worth the cost for cats with UI issues

I have a senior Calico cat. I waited until the end of a month of feeding this new food to see how she reacted. I was very happy with the reduced amount of hairballs

I have a senior Calico cat. I waited until the end of a month of feeding this new food to see how she reacted. I was very happy with the reduced amount of hairballs (she hasn't had any). We had no vomiting, no loose stools, and no stomach upset. She only ate about half a can per meal (less than competitor brands) in order to be satisfied. Her litter box seemed to smell better, not as strong urine smell. My dogs stayed close by in case they could get their paws on some leftovers.

gave my cat diabetes

I thought I was doing something good for my cat by putting him on this food. I was worried because the vet said he had idiopathic cystitis from stress. I thought

I thought I was doing something good for my cat by putting him on this food. I was worried because the vet said he had idiopathic cystitis from stress. I thought that this would be a good preventative stone food. After being on only this and the dry urinary formula. He got very sick lost a ton of weight. The vet said he had diabetes and his blood sugar was 409. Turns out this food is over 30% carbohydrates. I switched to a low carb high protein food immediately (the proper diet for cats) and his blood sugar went down and I avoided insulin. This food gave my cat diabetes! I just hope it did not cause too much permanent damage to my baby.

Ever since we adopted our two domestic female shorthairs from a shelter, 11 years ago, they have had difficulty keeping their food and hairballs down. We have tried different foods, and while some were better than others, we still had to clean up from them at least twice a week often more. The caused us to change foods. After reading the literature, we started using Hill's Science Diet Adult Urinary Hairball Control Chicken & Vegetable Stew Wet and are very happy with the results. First, the two cats really like the food and took to it immediately. If you have a fussy cat, you know how important that is. Simply, though, they have kept everything down and have given us nothing to clean up since they started eating this and that has been for nearly a month. That is a big deal. They clean their plates, which takes a little while for our two, and they keep it down. We are surprised and very happy with the results.

I like that this food is for hair ball and urinary health and the main ingredients are good so was really hoping it would be a hit, especially since I have a very fluffy cat. I like that the food is very moist with plenty of gravy. Unfortunately all 4 of my cats rejected eating this. I got the chicken flavor, perhaps if it was one of the other flavors they would eat it.

I have several long haired cats and a few with various urinary issues. This diet help supports both urinary health by promoting a healthy urinary pH and also has added fiber to help minimize hairball formation.
