at what age should we transition from "puppy" food to "adult" food?

Dexter loves this

Dexter loves this food! Gobbles it right up! He’s been on it since 3 months old and he hasn’t had any issues. Getting ready to transition him to adult food since he’s 1 year and will be looking at HSD brand for that.

Finally, Firm Stool

Our 4 mo puppy has had soft stool for a month, and we tried everything. Wet food, supplements, and a plain diet of chicken and rice. We finally decided to switch his kibble (we were using Blue Wilderness). Within one day, his stool immediately improved. I wish it was a bit cheaper and the bag a bit bigger, but that’s my only complaint. My pup devours it and loves it!

pup does not like Hill's Science Diet

My pup did not like these. He used to go crazy over meal time. I have no time to put this aside and try another brand of food. Chewy shipped me a bag of dog food that expires in less than a year. I won't be ordering my dog food early from Chewy anymore. I just ended up mixing this kibble with another so my pup will finish it before it expires.

Great Puppy Food

We've always had success with Science Diet, but when we got a new puppy, we tried another good that was highly rated across many different reviews. Our new puppy was irregular with loose poop and struggled to empty, even with probiotic supplements. Within a day if beginning the transition to Science Diet, he started firming up, and it only improved as the transition continued. Science Diet has been the most consistently great food we have used over the years. It worked best for our old dog for most of his life, and looks to be our food of choice for our current fur baby.

Shipping Issues

It would be really nice to purchase continually from Chewy.... prices are acceptable usually, but shipping is way too long and it's very hard to plan how to purchase so that the animals have food available. Auto Ship is too regimented as the animals don't eat the same amount every month.
