Is this food small kibble? My cat has two missing teeth and has trouble chewing

Answer by ChewyJun 15, 2018
The kibble in this formula is large and triangular shaped.

My cat currently eats the adult years 1-6 food. She just turned 7. Do I need to transition her over to this food as if she was eating a new food?

Answer by ChewyJun 19, 2019
A gradual transition to a new pet food is important to avoid digestive upset. To transition, mix your pet’s current food with the new food. Over 7 days, gradually decrease the amount of the current pet food while increasing the amount of new pet food.

What percentage carbohydrate does this kibble contain?

Answer by ChewyJan 09, 2019
This formula contains a Carbohydrate content of 37% on as fed basis and 41.1% on a dry matter basis.

Do all ingredients come from USA sources?

Answer by ChewyDec 20, 2018
All of Hill's products source raw materials only from countries where there are reliable safety procedures in place, primarily in the United States, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and several European countries.

Older cats - food change

My two cats are 9 yrs old and have been eating Science Diet light their whole life, (my female is chubby and her brother is tall and skinny) but I thought it might be a good idea to switch to Adult 7+ formula. They love it but I am surprised that the kibble is larger and quite firm/hard compared to the small flat discs in the light formula. They are loudly crunching away on it but I would have thought the kbble would be easier for older cats to chew. Hoping this won't be an issue with thier old teeth, the male has already had one removed due to tooth resorption. They hide pain so well and nothing usually gets in the way of food time so it's hard to know if these harder kibbles bother them. Just wanted others to be aware in case their cats have tooth issues.

OMeGa

I was previously buying Hill's Adult 7+ but I noticed this one marketed directly towards indoor cats and I wanted to know what the difference was so I switched. The omega 6 has done wonders for cats. I have a white DSH who used to shed like crazy and now barely sheds. We're tried tons of supplements in the past with no improvement until we gave up. This food was the first to make a noticeable difference and I'm very impressed.

My cat threw-up this food one night. I started trying to get the stain out first thing the following morning. That was almost a month ago. The food must contain a food coloring or something that permanently stains carpets. I have tried every pet vomit stain remover on the market. I have used Bissell's Little Green Machine for pet stains. Nothing works. The stain remains. (It has gotten lighter, but it is definitely still there.) The entire carpet has to be replaced. Don't feed your cat this food if you have carpeting or rugs.

So we have a little bit of a complex diet in my house. I have a 1 year old I adopted by mistake and a 17 year old with 17 year old kidneys that fortunately do not need prescription food yet so my house is a wet food buffet to meet nutritional needs. My girls love this as an addition to their wet food and it is gentler in phosphorus than many foods for my senior.

Thought it would be healthy

My cats have only had two cupfuls, because they are begrudgingly picking at the food and they are throwing it up. I have had to buy an emergency bag of cat food

My cats have only had two cupfuls, because they are begrudgingly picking at the food and they are throwing it up. I have had to buy an emergency bag of cat food to feed them. So essentially I have wasted quite a lot of money on this bag of food. I do not know what about the food made all three sick, as one would be understandable, but to have all three get sock from the food and refuse to eat it worries me about the food. I will not be purchasing this again.

It's sold and tested by a highly rated and trusted company.

I like it for its greatest selling points--older, indoor, and chicken recipe. But many older cats have few teeth, and the kibble size can be a problem. It should

We were getting the Science Diet healthy weight food for a long time but they stopped wanting it. I decided to try this food and both cats love it. They wait behind their bowls to get a little scoop. So far I've ordered it twice, and they are still eating it with no problems.

I opened the box and put in the hallway. An hour later, Marshi was making noise with the bag. The get there and she has chewed through the bag to get to the food. Mind you they had plenty of food in their bowls I. The kitchen. So this transition was not difficult because they love it!

He likes it!

My fussy feline was snubbing a similar dry food previously purchased. He now happily eats his dinner without complaints!
