Where it All Began

Himalayan Pet Supply is the original creator of the Himalayan Dog Chew. Their team supports a network of over 10,000 Himalayan farmers who handcraft these ancient hard cheese chews for dogs around the world. Not only are these chews adored by pups and approved by pet parents, but they are also the only chews that are certified Fair Trade by the World Fair Trade Organization.

Tradition + Innovation

Combining ancient traditions with modern innovation, Himalayan Pet Supply chews start in the Himalayan mountains at over 15,000 feet, near Mount Everest. They are crafted with a winning combination of yak and cow milk and are 100% free from preservatives and binding agents. And since they are made for dogs, they are completely free from lactose, gluten, grain, soy, corn and wheat!

Serving Pets and the Community

Himalayan Pet Supply took part in passing the first laws in Nepal, allowing farmers to insure their livestock as capital. They also support the health and safety of farmers, their livestock and therefore the health and safety of the dogs who enjoy their treats. Doing Good One Chew at a Time

Every chew sold supports Chews 4 Literacy and for every pound of cheese chewed, a book is donated to a library in Nepal through the Manaram Foundation. They have built 175 libraries in Nepal providing resources for the farmer families who work hard to provide pets with fresh ingredients. Himalayan Pet Supply also donates 100% of profits from their toy line to the Women’s Skill Development Center.

About Himalayan Pet Supply

In 2003, after discovering Kaos the dog loved Chhurpi, a traditional cheese chew made from the people of the Himalayas, two brothers and their friend had an idea to create a dog-friendly version. After 4 years of tweaking the ancient recipe, removing the lactose and fat content, they ended up with a tasty and savory, long-lasting chew, now known as a Himalayan Dog Chew. Himalayan Pet Supply has grown from a small company attending local pet fairs, to now a global company that’s made their mark in the pet industry by creating a new chew category for dogs.

Large 4-5month old chewer

Our great pyrenees mixed pup is quite the chewer. She would go through all of her other chew treats in 15-30minutes. These yaks last her weeks at a time. She loves

Our great pyrenees mixed pup is quite the chewer. She would go through all of her other chew treats in 15-30minutes. These yaks last her weeks at a time. She loves them! She loves when it is in puff form too-which is still hard but softer than original form.

No so good anymore

Not sure what happened. These used to be a lot bigger and fresher. We had been getting them for years. But the last couple orders were half the size and looked dry

LAST FOREVER!

OUR DOGS LOVE THESE. THEY ARE HARD AS A ROCK AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE CONSUMED AT ONE TIME. THEY ALWAYS GO BACK TO THEM THOUGH. I HAVE NEVER FELT THE NEED TO DISPOSE

My baby LOVED this!

My dog has never obsessed over something like this. Though she did finish it in one day. I did toss it when it got very low, as could be a choking hazard.

My dog loves these (both the chicken and regular cheese flavors) and I love that they last through several chewing sessions. Because they are hard (but not too hard on her teeth), they also help keep down plaque buildup and keep her teeth white (not sure if that is a listed benefit or just a happy side effect).
