Overall, my chickens approved, but the individual pieces are very small and are dark in color, so they were not interested in foraging this treat scattered on the ground. They ate it from my hand just fine, but ignored it otherwise. I would recommend feeding this from some kind of feeder or I also think, due to its size, it would be good for younger chicks.

I waited to review Hippy Chick Immuni-Guard to see if it made a difference and it sure did make a difference! When I started feeding it to my chickens, they were not in a good place, dull combs and eyes, feather’s not growing back after molt. Since adding daily in food, their feathers filled in and nice red combs and wattles. Also my chickens are laying again. Great stuff!

At 1/4 a cup per pound I figured that one bag of Hippy Chick Immuni Guard per 50lb bag of layer crumbles was about the right mixture. To make my life easier I mixed this in with my layer crumbles. My chickens ate it right up. I like that there are only natural ingredients and that it contains the live microbials. The only ingredient I didn't recognize was D alpha tocopheryl acetate - so I looked it up and it is a natural, active form of Vitamin E.

Our hens absolutely loved this product right from the start, it was like offering them a special treat they couldn't get enough of. However, we quickly transitioned to mixing this into their daily feed for consistent benefits. What really sold us on this, was when I "Googled" the ingredients on the label. Turns out it is loaded with many of the same supplements that my wife and I rely on for our own immune support, such as organic minerals, pre and probiotics as well as other immune boosters. That made us feel even better about giving it to our flock, it's not just some random treat but something aligned with proactive wellness for the whole family (feathered or otherwise). There are a lot of mites, fleas, and other insects that are attracted to them. The oregano is a natural repellent and the probiotocs seem to help their gut from getting the runs. Our chicks love this and so do we! The natural ingredients give my worry wart heart a peace of mind and the added nutrients that this gives our hens make me just a happy as the taste makes them. While we often mix with their feed, we also spread some out as a treat for the girls to scratch and pick at on the coop floor and they love it. My only complaint is that it isn’t offered in a larger bag. We have over 100 head of chickens and would love to add this as a staple in our coops!

This 1 .5 lb bag of Hippy Chick is for Gut+Immunity Health, has garlic & oregano for healthy immune function, cinnamon bark for strengthening the gut, prebiotics & probiotics for a healthy digestive system. The whole point of this is healthier chickens and better eggs. My chickens really thought this was a treat and gobbled it up, You add this with their food 1/4 cup per 1lb of feed. Recommended this to my neighbor and he liked this for his many chickens.
