How long can a carton be stored in the refrigerator? How much per day is recommended for a 50 pound and a seventy pound dog? Can this be frozen?

Opened toppers should be stored in the fridge, at temperatures between 40-45°F, for a maximum of 5-7 days. Any food remaining after that time should be thrown out. If feeding as a topper, reduce dry food by 1/8 – 1/4 cup daily to help maintain healthy weight.
Is the salmon wild caught?

What ingredients are used to make the bone broth? I have a pup who is allergic to peas, green beans, and potatoes.

The Honest Kitchen does not add anything other than water and turkey to create the actual broth in the recipe. This recipe does not contain peas, green beans, or potatoes.

help him eat his food

My dog was being very picky about eating so I bought this topper. He loved it. His brothers loved it as well. I liked it much better than the dry toppers I have seen.

Great, if you can get at it

My dogs, two large pit bulls, love it as a topper over kibble. The problem is the packaging. It is near impossible to get the thing open. Try and cut the top off with scissors and it’s like cutting through metal. I end up with stew all over my hands and fingers and I can’t get all of the product out because the opening ends up being too small because it’s too difficult to cut through.

Surprisingly bummed

The honest kitchen has a dehydrated broth and both my dogs Love it. So I was excited to see a carton that was ready to go! I love this sort of stuff when we travel because it's easy on their tummies. (my dogs get car sick) Well.. it was the plan to give them these when we travel next month but to my surprise neither of them touched it! I admit it smells a little.. starchy and less "meaty" than other carton type products I've tried. I guess we will have to try something different.

CAUSED SICKNESS.

I was so excited to try this topper because I thought it would be a healthy addition to my German Shepard's meals. However, it caused her to be up at 4:30am with diarrhea in the house and vomiting throughout the day. I skipped her breakfast to let her tummy settle, fed her in the evening without the topper and she is back to normal. Feeling much better. Now I'm stuck with a case of this topper I can't use and can't give away for fear of having received a bad batch. I wouldn't want to cause another dog to get sick. Such a waste of money and food. Disappointing.

My dogs would not eat it

I have a Yorkie, shih- tzu , and pug mix and none would eat this. I poured it over their regular dry food. I had high hopes because I like the ingredients.

THK Pour Overs

My pup really did like the Turkey & Salmon pour over but it didn’t like her. I only gave her 1/2 teaspoon at a time and she has had very bad diarrhea and today she threw up breakfast and had diarrhea. This is very unfortunate because she really does like. I guess I wasted that money. No more pour overs for her. She already eats THK chicken clusters for small dogs and loves it and does very well. I just wanted to enhance the flavor. I’m sticking to just the dry food.

Dogs live this!

Before getting the pour over’s my skinny old dog would barely eat his hard food. Now he eats it all with the pour overs mixed in. He is also starting to gain weight and I am one happy dog owner!

My greyhound loves this!

Our greyhound gets picky / bored with his food often so we go through a lot of different meal toppers / mixers, but this one has been going strong and there’s no sign of him getting sick of it, he loves it so much!!
