I have used The Honest Kitchen for over 20 years and always satisfied with the results. My pets have done well over the years. In fact my newest pug puppy was tested positive for Giardia and the veterinarian treated him with Panacur and insisted that he be put on a canned veterinarian approved food. He wouldn’t eat it. I had preordered a 2 lb box of The Honest Kitchen Beef and Salmon dehydrated puppy food prior to his positive testing of Giardia. Once he tasted it he loved it and it has proven to be gentle on his digestive system. It also contain probiotics which are essential to his healing. Thank you to your customer service rep who helped with the latest order on January 1, 2026. Her help, kindness and patience was gratefully appreciated.

Must have for puppy pantries

This was actually quite timely as I am caring for a foster puppy who needed some surgery and couldn’t eat solid food for two weeks. It was so easy to mix together,

This was actually quite timely as I am caring for a foster puppy who needed some surgery and couldn’t eat solid food for two weeks. It was so easy to mix together, great for serving in some sort of enrichment vessel like a kong, topple, or licki may, and it helped ensure he was getting really good nutrition as he healed up. He never turned away a meal and was always happy to eat when there was time. No upset tummies transitioning too either. Solidly recommend this food and food brand especially for growing pups

My 2 Bichons didn’t care for it. I tried them on it on 11/29/2025, & unfortunately my little girl had a neurological issue the next day, 11/30/2025. On 12/1/2025 I lost my baby girl. My pups had been together for 12yrs & not wanting to stress out my boy any further after our loss I didn’t try him on it again. I gave the food to my son for his dog who absolutely loved it. It’s easy to make and a box like this can make a lot of meals. My son has elected to add this food to my grand pups diet from here on. He likes how nutritious the food is.

Skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised

While looking for more variety in my smaller dogs food I decided to give this a try. I have used other "Just add water" products and he never seems to like them

While looking for more variety in my smaller dogs food I decided to give this a try. I have used other "Just add water" products and he never seems to like them as much as the soft canned stuff. In fact he may eat it once and then he will wait until he gets his old stuff back. I was in for a shock from the beginning. He smelled it, licked around it a little and the next thing I know it was entirely gone. The consistency of the food, when water is added, is more of a soft dog food and not some watered down hard stuff that looks more like cereal left in a bowl a little too long. I highly recommend you give this a try.

Perhaps as a topper rather than a primary meal, but at that point I’m bot sure if it exceeds her caloric allowance. If you have the budget, go for it. She did love the flavor!

It looks great when you make it. And honestly so simple to prepare. But my two puppies were not fans. One did end up eating it, but oh my goodness his bowel movements
