I love honest kitchen that is what I feed my dogs. I do the hydrated base because of the low fat and I add my own homemade chicken. I am probably not the best person to review this as I am sure it should be mixed with dry dog food. I put a little on the side for my dogs, but I doubt I would purchase it again. Chewy as always, is number one.
My dog, who is not a picky eater. Will not eat this stuff! I don’t blame him!
Our two dogs, Cooper and Bear, love their dry food, but I like to add toppers to add variety! They both have a pretty sensitive stomach, and Bear has allergies, so it's very important to me that the toppers I use are healthy additions that won't upset either of those things. These check all the boxes! The dogs are even more excited for breakfast in the morning, I feel good about adding more variety for them, and their skin and tummies stay happy! I do agree with other reviewers that the packaging can be difficult to open sometimes, but it's cardboard instead of plastic so that makes it totally worth it for me.
The pour overs, all flavors, are great & easy. My Tillman LOVES them!!
Bentley actually likes this pour over. He is only 11 pounds so his meals are small but I pour a tablespoon over his kibble to increase the nutrients he gets. He does like it. He gets 3 meals a day. If I give it to him more than once he gets picky and may not eat it. It does have some good nutrient value and it is human quality. I recommend this to anyone wanting to supplement kibble and increase the nutrition for their pet.
My 13 yo dog had 5 teeth removed and not only was it difficult for him to eat hard kibble. but he suddenly decided that he didn't like the food I had been giving him. This topping is a great way to add flavor as well as moisten his food. I add about a tablespoon and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Sometimes I even warm it in the microwave. He loves it. And I love that the ingredients are pure and simple, and - mostly - from quality North America sources. I've only been feeding this for a week, so I can't make any comments about health benefits, but I know pumpkin and salmon are good for him. And he's eating!
I found nothing wrong with the product, but the packaging is terrible. There is no easy way to open I had to cut it with scissors several different ways, then product remains in the container. You end up making a mess of everything. If they change the packaging to a pouch or something I would by again.
So i needed something to hide dog’s meds and still entice my 13 yo lab to eat her dry food. tried broth, canned pumpkin, yogurt, and she tired of them all. So this was a trial that met with great success. 32 cals per box, 1/2 in the am. and the half in the evening , so reasonable amount of additional calories per meal without blowing her diet (like wet/canned food), and she sits and wags waiting for her meals now! so happy we bought a case.
