I've been feeding Legacy to my dogs for 10 years without issue, they refuse to eat the new formula food! Whatever they did my dogs don't approve, the search is on for new dry food.
I have an 8yo and 1yo Rottweilers. I keep them on grain free food due to most or alot of dog breeds have allergies to grains in food. The dogs love it and I like how healthy it is for them
Great dog food. My guys love it. When I ordered, I told the lady I am really picky about date and I got a bag with an expiration date of a YEAR. That's fresh food!
I've been having trouble getting my old Lab to eat hard dog food, but she loves Horizon Legacy. However, it is quite pricey, probably since it's from Canada. I suspect that I will continue to order it as long as I can afford to.
I purchased this food after seeing it recommended on a non-biased review site. My dog loves it and I've noticed a big difference in her #2s (MUCH smaller), which is supposedly a sign that the food is high quality.
Absolute top quality food for all types and sizes of dogs. All of my dogs wolf this down. My Blue Border Terrier, Golden Retriever, Rottweiler, Husky, American Bulldog and Blue Tick/Coon hound cross are all in superb condition due to Legacy. If you read the ratings, this is one of the best foods you can feed your dogs.
It's highly rated on Pet Food Advisor, and both my dogs love it - including the one who frequently skipped meals with every other food I've tried. It hasn't affected their gas production, unfortunately, and I'm a tad worried about the whole grain-free thing after the recent studies. But they get grains in their treats, so it's probably fine.
Good nutritional food. My dog likes the flavor and the size of the kibble is just right. (He is a 10 pound small dog.)
I found this food to have a lot of pea products for such an expensive dog food. Peas are high in protein, boosting the protein content from vegetables, rather than meat. The dogs did like it, but I'm still on the fence about it.
Seems like it is made of good ingredients, got a 5 star review on dog food adviser. The food is a very light brown and it made my dogs poop a very weird almost orange color. I had a very gradual switch over and through the entire bag her poop was never a consistent texture. I am sure the food is good, just not for my dog.
