Less than expected
Thought the outer box would be more substantial since it advertises as a step stool also, which is a reason I finally bought this. Softer, flexible plastic, too cheaply made for the price. I'd be leary of trying to stand up on this. Will probably be ok just as a brush box if not overloaded and heavy. Not tall enough for spray bottles such as most fly or finishing/conditioner sprays.

I think the container itself is very sturdy. I agree with other reviewers that it is difficult to clasp shut. In addition it is too short for the standard grooming bottles such as fly spray or mane spray. I did like the dividers as I prefer to keep things very organized. I would definitely give this a five star review if it had been deep enough for spray bottles.
Hard to Close
I find the box hard to close. I'm not sure if it is from the shipping since the box was packed in the shipping box on its side. Or if it is the manufacturer. However I do like it the tray inside is perfect for smaller items and the other side will fit my groom bottles.

I found this was hard to close and really does not hold that much. I have sprays that will not fit if box is to be closed. I like the fact that it is a step since I have a 18.3 hand warmblood.
Great grooming box
My usual grooming kit collected dirt and debris from sitting open, so I bought this one to try. It's not tall enough for bottles to fit in, but it does have a nice divider to keep things from getting mixed around in one, large open space. I use one half for brushes and my galloping boots and one half for various tubs of medication and oddball grooming stuff. The small tray on top is enough to fit some combs and hoof picks in, so that everything stays orderly. It's tough enough to sit on and to stand on for reaching my tall horse's head.
Love this product
This portable box is perfect for holding all my grooming products for my horse. I love it and I love the purple color!!
