I got the venison hearts for Aspen to try. I like that it’s safe for dogs with food sensitivities. My dog can be picky about treats, but she does usually like meat

I got the venison hearts for Aspen to try. I like that it’s safe for dogs with food sensitivities. My dog can be picky about treats, but she does usually like meat. She LOVED these. She just about bit my fingers off for the second one haha. Notably, they didn’t seem to upset her stomach at all. She has gallbladder disease, so finding good treats can be challenging. I am happy to report that she showed no signs of any reaction to these besides increased begging :) They also have a long shelf life, without refrigeration required, which makes them convenient. I will be ordering them again!

I always appreciate a single ingredient treat. This was our first time giving our dog venison heart, but she has had venison meat before. She was not as into the heart, but never turned it down. Most of the pieces are nice and big and feel like a real treat, but there are also a lot of small pieces and shreds that are difficult to give to our dog by hand. The little pieces are better poured into a dish. It's a natural product so I understand why the inconsistency exists, but it's something to be aware of.

Was curious if our cats would like them, but neither of them cared for it much after some initial sniffing. There's no weird smell or texture if you're a bit squeamish about what the treat is made of!
