Hydralazine HCI is an oral tablet given to pets with high blood pressure. It works by helping to widen blood vessels, which decreases pressure. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications to control hypertension. This medication is sometimes used by veterinarians to treat companion animals. Customers may receive this drug under the name Apresoline.
Hydralazine is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure and assisting in the treatment of congestive heart failure; it works by opening up the blood vessels.
Possible Side Effects
Incidences of hypotension, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, conjunctivitis, water or urinary retention and constipation have been reported.

Hydralazine should be used with caution in pets with intracerebral bleeding.
