But I imagine, a larger dog would go through this as quickly as my small dogs do the smaller size. These are great though! Get them, your dog will love them. We love giving them fresh ones for a road trip.

This horn is very very stinky! I can smell from across the room when my dog is chewing on it, and I always laugh about it. Other than that, it’s a great chew! It is soft enough that it will break when my dog bites down hard on it, and then she will chew the pieces, but I don’t worry about it hurting teeth because it just doesn’t feel solid enough for that. But it is also durable enough that they’re not gone immediately and my dog gets one about once a month. For those worried about the shards, I’ve never had cause to worry. They might be prickly when touching with our human hands, but the pieces are still bendable when they’re small, but additionally they become very soft and malleable when wet. That could be as a result of my dog chewing on it (very gross to touch but I can confirm!), but also her stomach acid will do the same and ensure everything is soft enough to not be a danger inside her. At least, that’s how I feel about it and we’ve been eating these for years now.

Thought she cracked her tooth within 2 minutes. 70 pound Staffordshire. No way- digestible or not, these are sharp pieces that can cause major problems on the way

Breaks easily - monitor your dog

This was not a good option for my dog. She is a moderate chewier, large sized dog (lab/pitty mix), and the opening of the horn started breaking almost immediately

I purchased this and was shocked to see within moments, my dog splintering up the item on the floor. It says digestable, but there were shards that I feel could have become lodged in his digestive tract. I love Chewy and am super happy with their company, but, in my opinion, this is not a safe chewable option. I would return it, but it is all splintered apart.
