These are definitely a "premium" treat but I have bought many bags after seeing how much my dog loves them. The bigger bags seem to have less consistency in the size/thickness of each piece, with some being thick 6" strips all the way down to ~1" pieces that are pretty thin. I've found the smaller pieces are great for stuffing Kongs, since they're pliable I can really shove them in there to give my dog a challenge. He's a very aggressive chewer and can get through the biggest/thickest pieces in less than 2 minutes, so I use them as high-value rewards for things like cleaning his ears or brushing his teeth. They would probably be a great long-lasting chew for smaller dogs, I really love that they don't break into unsafe pieces like many chews of this size do. They absolutely have a fishy smell to them, but it doesn't seem to linger on my dog's breath very long. Awesome treat to have around if you like to have a good variety of tastes/textures!
I have bought the same brand/same treat from a local pet store and never had a problem. But my puppy got very upset stomach with this bag from Chewy. This is not the first time I bought a treat/chew on Chewy that didn't agree with my puppy when I have bought the same thing from the local store and it was fine.
I use treats to reward good behavior and training. This is one of my very favorite reward treat. It basically fish jerky that is not messy or overly stinky. My dog is 55 pounds and it takes him around two minutes to finish and he is a heavy chewer.
I bought the 12oz bag thinking each treat would be longer, or at least the same size, compared to the ones in the 4oz bag so my dog would have a couple additional minutes of chew time with one. Unfortunately, the opposite is true, the majority are thin and only around 3-4 inches. These are literally just low quality scraps. My recommendation is to either stick with the Icelandic+ 4oz bag, or look elsewhere for wolffish skin treats.
My dog really loves these fishy treats and they help keep tartar and plaque to a minimum. Somehow when he chews these, it also cleans his teeth. I also brush his teeth once a day, but love to add these to the mix especially since he enjoys them so much! Highly recommend!
My dog zora loves these treats she eats them in 5 minutes or less even though they are freeze dried and harder like a bone they smell odd but that’s what you expect it’s fish
Great treats, dog goes crazy for them. But considering they are just dried out fish skins they are way too expensive.
