Not So Ruff-Weather
The dog door was fairly easy to install and looks nice. However, it doesn't live up to its name Ruff-Weather at all. It seals well against the door, but the magnets on the bottom of the flaps are too weak. Any breeze above about 8 mph blows it open. When it is raining or snowing, I get a LOT of water or snow blowing straight into my home. It has a hard plastic panel to completely close the door, but that panel doesn't seal up when installed.
Great Purchase
I bought an x large door because I take care of my son's dogs frequently. I was able to use a jigsaw for a steele door and it was fairly easy for me a 55 year old woman at the time to install. My indoor cats learned to use it and now I'm moving and will be installing a smaller version. Loved the product. Now my cats are indoot outdoor.
A great Doggie door!!
I purchased this Pet door to mount inside of a wooden door leading to my garden. Most doors I have tried in the past have not been too sturdy, but this one is great!! The double flaps makes it impossible for the wind to blow open and the magnetic strips hold in place. The instructions and templates made cutting a hole in the door manageable with the right tools or a carpenter to help. Love it and so do my Boston Terriers.

This is the third door I have installed and the best for energy efficiency. The only problem was that Chewy does not carry a wall extension kit for thick walls. The double flap door has brush weatherstripping on the sides and top. The bottom has a magnetic strip that seals the air.

Much better than the extreme weather pet safe door. This one has stuff on the sides to keep The wind out. The other one you can see daylight an feel the wind.

Frustrated
Received our super extra big dog door for wall... realized when we got it that we had to order a wall adapter box for the wall. We called chewy to order but they don't carry it for the super dog door. Why sell it if you don't carry the adapter???? Frustrating:(((((
Not big enough for 90 pound dog!
I bought this for my 3 dogs to replace a sliding glass door insert that was not energy efficient at all. The double flap system definitely seems to let less cold air in, but be careful when choosing a size. This says up to 90 pounds, but it is way too small for my 80 pound lab. I have emailed customer service to see if I can return this one for the super large when it's back in stock. This one is useless right now as he won't use it due to bumping his head, back and hips when he tries to use it.
Great Door
While I've never used the ruff weather version of this door, I am familiar with this brand and have always been happy with it. So instead I must brag about the service w/ Chewy, how they helped me get the right door quickly and how arrived in impeccable condition :)
I Love this product!
This doggy door has made life so much easier. My husband installed it in a couple hours. Now we don't have to keep letting our dogs in and out all day. Michigan winters are very cold and opening the door would let a blast of cold air in our faces and home. Our dogs love the freedom to go in and out whenever they want to. It is sturdy and looks nice, too.
