For the best fit, measure your dog's chest girth with a soft measuring tape. To measure, place the end of the measuring tape between your dog's shoulder blades and wrap it around the largest portion of their chest. For a complete sizing chart, click on the 'Size' tab, just under the product photos.

Despite measuring multiple times, the harness is too big for my GSD. Love the extra pouches it comes with, but with the entire harness being unusable, I couldn't use the pouches either. Either the sizing chart is off or my dog is just oddly sized. Would recommend buying two to try, especially if your dog is close to two sizes. Overall, it's a good quality harness and would suggest to anyone inquiring about a harness for their service dog.

Hardware too big for the size of the harness

The materials and stitching do make the harness durable as the manufacturer states, but the size of the straps and buckle (both 2” wide) are too large proportionally

The materials and stitching do make the harness durable as the manufacturer states, but the size of the straps and buckle (both 2” wide) are too large proportionally for the size of the saddle. The weight of the buckle, which is fastened to the side of the harness and cannot be slid down the strap causes the harness to slide to one side constantly. It’s almost as as my horse girth. I purchased the medium and my dog falls right in the middle range of the chest measurement but this harness and the buckles are far too large for it to fit properly. In addition it has a leash clip on top and the harness is not capable of staying secure with a leash, so you would need to use a collar. For anyone looking to use this harness for stability/guidance purposes, I think that would rule it out. The handle is securely fashioned to the top of the saddle, but it is not rigid, so it would not work to use for stability. If you want something to use to label your dog, it would be more for display purposes than any type of work that requires putting pressure on the harness directly. You would probably have to buy a size down for this to work because the fitting guide does not provide accurate information to fit the harness securely and no one wants to be constantly reaching down to slide their harness back into place. They also keep sending me the wrong patches for the harness i ordered, which further detracts from its use value. It is definitely durable but there are design functions that need to be re-thought for it to perform as a working dog’s harness.

I bought these for hiking bags for my dog, didn’t realize they came with the patches as well. Good purchase for someone who needs the patches with it! We will change them out for fun patches instead :) perfect for hiking as they zip and are detachable! Patches do come off both items!

Snap Buckles Are Trash

I have two 80 lbs Bernedoodles who are are therapy dogs and we use these harnesses when going to the hospital. These are used about once a week and we’ve had them

I have two 80 lbs Bernedoodles who are are therapy dogs and we use these harnesses when going to the hospital. These are used about once a week and we’ve had them for just over a year. The quality overall is great but the snap buckles are absolute trash. I’ve had to use use super glue to keep the buckles together because they eventually crack. Be mindful of this when purchasing.
