Is there also hook-and-loop on the back to help secure it to the vest to prevent it from flopping around, or is there only the one attachment point at the top? Not a big deal, as I can sew some on easily.

Answer by ChewyOct 09, 2021
The bags only have the one loop at the top for attaching to the vest.

Can the patches be taken off?

Answer by ChewyFeb 13, 2020

My sister and I both have service dogs. We bought these to attach to one of their service vests while traveling. Even though we measured, they are larger than we envisioned. For reference, you can easily fit 2 full size soda cans in each bag. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing to carry some pet items while on the go like poo bags, meds, etc.

Perfect size!

These are big enough to carry a small (6 or 8 ounce) water bottle, and the medicines I need my service dog to carry so I always have them with me.

For reference, these bags are on a SMALL Industrial Puppy vest with 4” long patches, not the medium and larger vest as recommended. The “service dog” patches that they came with are 4” just like my others. There is velcro on top of the pouch as well as on its vest-facing side, and the strap tip has the correct velcro to attach securely whichever way you route the strap. On a medium vest everything would line up perfectly, but I was able to convince it to work well enough on my SDiT’s small vest. He’ll need a large vest early next year, so this is okay in the interim. The pouches are set up for one patch, but if you shift them down slightly you can get two on securely as I have, plus one on top regardless of how you route the strap. My Rhodesian Ridgeback SDiT puppy is tall enough that the pouches sit comfortably, however short-legged dogs might have challenges. Again, this is on a SMALL vest and not medium or larger as designed. It can work with just a bit of effort, though. I have PTSD and another small orthopedic disability, and these saddlebags will easily contain my needs as well as several of his, reducing the need for me to manage a backpack in addition to a service dog (plus everyone who tries to pet him!). Simpler is better!!
