Summer is typically tough on my cat. She slows down or increases her eating with the seasons. When the warm, then HOT Texas weather begins, she eats so much less that she becomes super slender. The first summer that she did this, I was concerned, but now that I've watched her behavior for 8 years, I'm completely at peace and trust her instincts. That said, food isn't too interesting to her in the summer, but she still needs to eat. Even when hungry, she will walk away from her favorite meals. To entice her a bit, I thought I'd add a spoonful of these Instinct toppings to her small amount of regular wet food. My idea worked!! She really loves the duck, but rabbit will do, too, on occasion. Now that summer is coming to an end and the temps are beginning to cool off a few degrees, she is already on top of the situation and wanting to eat more. In a couple of months, she will have added enough weight and fat to give herself a plump layer, fit for winter. I appreciate Instinct for making its food as natural as possible and using real meat without the addition of grain.
