Better than Merrick!
By KittyMama on Jan 12, 2021
My two indoor cats are not known to be finicky about their food. Imagine my surprise when they weren't too jazzed about limited ingredient Merrick, but they LOVED Instinct brand limited ingredient. It was like flipping a switch! Their plate is licked clean each evening. I purchased the lamb, rabbit, turkey, and salmon flavors of Instinct, and they love them all.

A hit with both cats
By PatriciaAA on Jan 1, 2021
It's always a hit and miss with my cats. One cat would like a certain protein and the other won't. With the lamb, both of my cats love it. The consistency is a bit thick so I add a little water to it, not much though. I feed my cat's several different proteins of the Instinct canned wet food.

Good ingredients, but cat didn't like it
By MondayCat on Jan 15, 2021
I was excited to try this food, but unfortunately, my cat won't eat it. It's very solid/hard out of the can, so I've used a fork to break it up and mix in the liquids, but that doesn't seem to help. She will lick the food but won't eat it.

Cat's won't touch it
By Karen on Dec 22, 2020
I've fed them Instinct salmon, duck, rabbit and chicken for 3 years. Thought I'd give an extra choice buying lamb. Oh my! They won't go near it. Now I'm stuck with 10 cans they won't eat.

My Seniors Love It
By BoobPunch on Nov 27, 2020
Expensive (or I'd give it five stars), but a favorite for my older cats. And it doesn't set off the one with food allergies! That will vary from one cat to another of course, but it's great for mine. And they really eat this up!

Senior IBS/IBD feline loves this flavor
By vtcatmom51 on Oct 11, 2020
originally purchased this for my senior (14 yrs young) IBS/IBD kitty who can no longer eat chicken, fish, or beef. Grateful that he loves it as it has a nice gravy so I can easily mix his supplements into it. None of my other cats will eat it though so ymmv based your precious felines' tastebuds. Too many peas & carrots for my liking but I pick them out before feeding to my cat.

My cat loves this!
By TRB3 on Sep 25, 2020
My 12.5 year old girl cat became super picky about food after an intense sickness spell. She stopped eating most of the food she previously enjoyed. I tried many different new foods, and found that she absolutely loves this. It's great to see her back eating and gaining back some of the weight she lost while very sick. She definitely loves lamb!

Instinct Lamb pate
By CrazyCatLady on Jan 3, 2021
My kitties ate the lamb but it was too dense and not enough gravy for them (in their opinion).

Kitten loves it

I ordered Instinct chicken before, she hated it! However, this lamb she was crazy with it. What a surprise!

This food is too fat for my cats
By Mila on Sep 3, 2020
Cats love Instinct rabbit and venison. It seems like this lamb food is too fat for them; both somewhat vomited after eating it, and they vomited mostly fatty liquid with some particles of meat. I will try to give them this food again, and if they have digestive problems again, then I will donate it.
