This food does not require refrigeration. An unopened bag of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the bag. Ideally, dry food and treats should be consumed within 6-8 weeks of opening the bag. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep dry foods in their original packaging and store in a cool, dry location.

Disappointed

I have been looking for a brand that actually cares about cats and their digestive system. There are plenty of brands that are too commercial and lack the quality of food causing health issues in the long run for cats. I started feeding this to my cat since December. I always mixed it with another type of dry food he was eating. He handed it well for first 2 months. I stopped giving this to him in February because each time he ate this food he kept throwing up. He loves the freeze dried pieces, wasn't too interested in the kibbles. But he would eat it. Now he doesn't eat them, anytime he does he throws up almost immediately. This week he has thrown atleast 6 times. It's economically hard for me to buy the vet recommended brand of foods all the time but I have no other choice.

NO LONGER A GOOD PRODUCT

My 2 cats have eaten Indoor Health for years until last month. I got a bag that made both of them very sick - throwing up and diarrhea. Spoke to the manufacturer and gave them the info from my bag. Bought a different bag with a different batch number. They totally refuse to eat it. Will have to buy a different product because I no longer trust Instinct.

Good but....

I have one the MOST fussy cats known. He LOVES the real chicken chunks, but barely tolerates the kibble. Wish I could buy just the chicken chunks. I'm sure any normal cat would love the whole package. I'm just not that fortunate.

Shiniest Fur!

I have been using this for my kitten since we got him at 10 weeks. And when we adopted my Maine coon mix from a neglect situation we put him on this as well. Everyone comments how my cats literally GLISTEN they are so shiny and soft! And beyond healthy! Never had one issue happen while they are on this food!

None of my cats will eat it.

Zero stars really. The first time I fed it to my two indoor cats they threw it up. The second time I mixed it with their usual canned food and they refused to eat it. I tried to feed Instinct mixed with canned food to my two outdoor cats and they refused to touch it. It was a total waste of money and I had to clean up barf.

best kibbles & raw

my cat loves this and I wish the company would put a better sealing top like hill and hill top closers. I wish the company would also put more toppers in the bag with the kibble, so i just buy the chicken raw and mix it with the kibbles but my little girl could not chew well but she loved the digestive one and the skin and coat but she had kidney and back feet problems but she would eat the soft raw toppers but we had to put her down because her kidney stones we bless her and send her back to Kitty heaven!! Thor misses her and we do also but Thor is 4 and he loves to watch the birds and the squirrel when they visits! he had ran out and the delivery was very late on deliver finally this morning so I'd ordered the small sample ones thank god I had the skin and coat to hold him over and keep calling and watching the tracking...and Thank you chewy for the flowers for our sweet Pixie girl and for us. We highly recommend these Instinct raw toppers with the kibble & raw love

Switching from kitten dry and wet food was easy. No issues at all. I think they consider the raw pieces a real treat. Since they’re too big [for their food ball, they get them as an appetizer.

This brand makes my cat sick

Not great for cats with sensitive stomachs. Initially my cat enjoyed this brand and was fine with it but I’ve had to stop feeding it to him because he stopped eating it. In the past few weeks, it’s made him sick and he keeps throwing it up so naturally he won’t touch it. Thankfully I have leftover Purina brand.
