Will this hold an 85lb dog?

The Mini size stake is designed for pets weighing up to 20 pounds and the Standard size stake has no maximum pet weight limit.

Will this stake work effectively in the sand? We want to make sure our husky is safe with us at the beach!

This stake may be effective in sand however it may not be as effective as if it were placed into the ground in soil due to the different texture and density of sand.

How much does the stake remain above the ground? Can a mower go over it without hitting it?

The easy twist handle sits directly above ground. Do not attempt to go over this with a lawn mower as you'll damage both the product and your lawn mower.

Wow. We bought this to tether the dogs when we give them baths in the backyard. Once we get this in the ground (desert in Phoenix which consists of small rocks, clay, and caliche) this isn’t going anywhere, even with our 90# German shepherd pulling on it. Very impressed. We will have to jackhammer past the caliche because nothing else will get through it. But after that it shouldn’t be too hard to screw it in the rest of the way.

This was useless.

My 11 month old 20 pound English Cocker Spaniel puppy pulled this out of the ground twice. And yes I do know how to put it in the ground properly, I have used them

It is supposed to be made for a bigger and stronger dog but I would not recommend it to anyone. I would love to get my money back.

we've had it about a year. he's 100 lbs, lunges and pulls hard and it it's still in the ground and not bent

Sturdy
