Will this hold an 85lb dog?

The Mini size stake is designed for pets weighing up to 20 pounds and the Standard size stake has no maximum pet weight limit.
Will this stake work effectively in the sand? We want to make sure our husky is safe with us at the beach!

This stake may be effective in sand however it may not be as effective as if it were placed into the ground in soil due to the different texture and density of sand.
How much does the stake remain above the ground? Can a mower go over it without hitting it?

The easy twist handle sits directly above ground. Do not attempt to go over this with a lawn mower as you'll damage both the product and your lawn mower.
How well does this work on the beach?

Wouldn’t Recommend on Hyper Dog

The products is good but does not support my needs with my Alaskan Malamute/Husky mix, he is going to be turning 1 next month, about 85-90 lbs, and has lots of energy. He constantly pulls and runs around. Within 2 days he has manage to pull out the stake from the ground (even when I implanted it very well and followed instructions). I constantly have to adjust the stake every so often back to ground and he has managed to bend it slightly. I wouldn’t recommend it on a very high energetic dog or a large puppy. But besides that I did like its features but its the best I have used so far.

I bought this to use for my son's 1 year old puppy (Australian cattle mix) in our yard, and it worked perfectly.

Great for the lake

Bought this to use as a portable tie up for our 55 lb lab/shepherd mix. Easy to screw into the sand and held the entire time. Our lead did get tangled a few times around the top so occasionally we’d have to fix but that didn’t affect the function of the item. Great purchase for escape artist fur babies

Works well!

We have been using this for about 3 1/2 months in the middle of our yard and attach our energetic 60 lb terrier mix to it on a long lead since we do not have a fence. He is energetic and strong and runs from one side of our yard to the other chasing squirrels, passersby, etc and we have never had it come out or move. I also like that it goes all the way into the ground so it is not an eye sore in our yard.

super strong, easy to use, convenient, becomes indispensable

I own two strong pound-for-pound pit bull mixes that are well trained and well behaved. That being said, there are times that for the comfort of others, I restrain them with cables or leashes. These stakes can be pulled out at any time and put anywhere. They are easy to use and work like magic. They have been "a squirrel just ran by" tested and passed with flying colors. I won't go anywhere without them as they are supper portable (the point, I think) and light. Worth every penny!

Great Tie Out Stake

Idk what type of dog it’s for?!

I’ve twisted and forced this into the ground twice and both times I am sooo grateful I did NOT rely on it because my dog pulled it right out of the ground!! Maybe it’s meant for 5 pound dogs or dogs that won’t pull at all? I can’t use it, waste of money for me as she rips it right out of the ground. The only thing I could maybe do is cement it into the ground but even then it would have to be very heavy not to pull it out. You buy these things to help keep your beloved baby in your yard and obviously something heavy duty is used for heavy duty needs!
