I purchased this for my foster puppies to give them a little more space from a regular wire kennel. I am so glad I got it because it has really come in handy. For reference the two pups are about 6 lbs each in this photo and they are in a cat bed. The Pawtect washable pee pad also from Chewy (34x36 size) fits perfectly as the floor mat to protect. It is under the pee pads you see in the photo. It is durable, easy to wipe down, lightweight, and easy to move. 10/10 recommend!
I generally love everything from Chewy, but this is one exception. I really like the size of this pen and it's perfect for two young chihuahua puppies. We later ordered 2 extender panels and have ended up not using them for now while the pups are so small, because it makes the pen less stable. Here are the issues: it's overpriced for a cheap plastic pen (but isn't most plastic stuff?) and we really wish they would have enclosed the bottom few inches of the inside of each panel. Because puppies are not yet potty-trained, they sometimes go in the pen and the nooks and crannies of the inside of the pen walls are perfect spots for feces, urine and bacteria to thrive. It's only happened a couple of times, but because the plastic is not enclosed or covered, it makes it labor intensive to clean.
We just got a puppy and I am still too weary to leave him out at night to sleep so we put him in his playpen every night to sleep and it is great! I can fit his bed, his water, a training pad and some toys, he is so accustomed to his routine now and we love it knowing that he is safe all night while we sleep and can't get into anything he shouldn't
I think this pen is great. I like the plastic compared to metal options. The plastic inside is all smooth edges so there is no way a puupy can cut themselves. I can see many areas where they can get caught up in or hurt if they are going crazy in there. My puppy is just 3 months old, a lhasa mix, about 10 lbs. she cannot jump on furniture yet. It was working well but 5 days after having it she managed to jump out of it. So now im afraid she will just manage to jump out of it everytime im away. So i am trying to think of the next solution. I wish it was taller then 24” ! Maybe ill have to see if they sell a taller option.
We are very satisfied with the Iris 4 panel playpen with door. it is exactly the size we wanted and should be easy to move around the house. It is sturdy enough to handle a small dog.
I loved it but I’ve only had it for two months and the door doesn’t snap on to attach to the side anymore. Nothings broken so I’m not sure what happened. And now what’s the use of something to keep your pet safe that doesn’t close. I’m really disappointed.
When first got Ella Mae, she was just 2lb, she would have fell thru the porch railings. We got her this so she could be safe and still be out on the porch with us, Easy to put together, even tho we dont use the door cuz we just reach in and pick her up
Fast delivery, easy assembly and use. This product was perfect for my small dog.
Well made easy to put together. Wish I bought the 6 sided. Getting the extension.
I like the playpen,it is very sturdy. I took a star away because there are no rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on the floor. I will have to buy some and add them. Hopefully these will keep it from being pushed around by our puppy when he is trying to get out!
