I put this up to block doorway in June and it’s never been moved. Went to move two months later and it’s broken. The crank will not turn and it will not extend at

Get what you pay for

It works to prevent our 20 lb dog from going up the stairs while we're out of the house, but it isn't very sturdy if you had an animal jumping or trying to get through

It works to prevent our 20 lb dog from going up the stairs while we're out of the house, but it isn't very sturdy if you had an animal jumping or trying to get through it. It's pretty cheaply made and is already losing it's ability to tighten since we put it up and take it down every day. Works for what we need it for for now.

Did not work in my doorway

It did not adjust to fit in my doorway. Ended up just leaning it across the doorway and holding it there by laying down a piece of furniture next to it.
