Works for what we needed it to do
It works well for containing urine. My cat doesn’t squat when she pees, so a high-walled covered litter box is needed. However, the top doesn’t clip on securely

Great Litterbox (but remove the lid to scoop!!)

I got this as a backup box when I added a new cat to the household. He was working through some adjustment issues and so was pretty aggressive with his digging and burying behaviors. I had started with an open box, but this was a HUGE help in managing the mess that ensued. I originally thought that I would be able to clean the box through the folding door--THAT was a mess, though, because it was difficult to scoop the clumps of litter without them falling apart. I quickly learned that it was WELL worth the extra few seconds it takes to remove the lid before scooping and then put it back in place afterward. LITERAL seconds... The cover keeps the litter contained, so it is pretty neat. I keep the folding door open, so I can't speak to the functionality of the swinging flap. I wanted to make sure the new cat felt as comfortable as possible using this box. This box actually became the one that BOTH cats started to use as their preferred box.

Plastic latches are very flimsy
Latches are not secure and cannot hold the weight of litter. First time filling the top separated from bottom and spilled all over floor

Malfunction
The box is a good design, however the one we received is not properly cut for assembly. The top does not fit onto the bottom, it’s misshapen and the grooves don’t
The box is a good design, however the one we received is not properly cut for assembly. The top does not fit onto the bottom, it’s misshapen and the grooves don’t fit together. It causes the swinging door to get stuck and our cat gets stuck either inside or outside of the box. I’ve tried adjusting it and heating the plastic to remold, but nothing seems to work. We’ve had to leave the lid off, which is very smelly
